Welcome to the 1st installment of our new feature: The Boinktard of the Week Award.  :twistedevil:

We have a tie this week between the owners of Auxions.com (site renamed BidPlace.com on 9/13) and BidWhale.com Common010 Common010

Auxions.com/BidPlace.com Boinktard

owner's sales pitch to prospective customers:
Quote:If its the concensus of the board that im unwelcome, I'll leave. But please.... rename the forum to eBay talk then... as people seem to be eBay only drones.

BidWhale  Boinktard

owner's sales pitch to prospective customers:
Quote:My site rocks! Just b/c I don't fit in your click of old women no need to peck at me. So There!  Tongue

EDITED TO UPDATE:  On 9/13 Auxions.com changed its name to BidPlace.com.  They also changed their eBay ID from auxionscom to bidplace_com
I'd love it if you had a winner every week. I just hope I never win. Usually there's someone, somewhere doing an absoutely fabulous business of driving off customers.

Hmmm, I may need to borrow the "I'm with stupid" smiley  Icon_biggrin

Boinktard - what a great idea.  I'm sure this one will be filled with many Boinktards in no time.  Laughing7
Ah, yet another auction site whose user agreement is governed by the laws of "YOUR STATE HERE"  Happy001  :Smile

https://bidwhale.com/auctionhelp/Agreement.htm

Privacy policy?  very vague...bits and pieces scattered throughout the user agreement.

BidWhale's owner should read the comments that the developer of Auction-Script (the script that powers BidWhale) made about the script's inability to handle more than a few thousand listings.

Quote:I've noticed slowdowns on the main page with 2000 items...

..I really doubt it would handle that [10,000 items] in the flat file format

That's another thing that irks me, these people who start auction sites and go rah rah all over the place promoting how their site is the greatest and join us because we care and put a lot of time and effort into our site but when you check it out and you see something like that it is obviously they didn't even fully read their own agreement to know to change that.  A real Boinktard for sure.
Did you see Bob's response at the "other" place?  It just cracked me up!!!

BigWhale:
Do you guys have anything good to say?

Bob:
I just got my car insurance lowered with Geico.
Laughing4  That's funny.

the bids are interesting, but the bidder who is bidding on all 4 auctions is even more interesting:

...and yet this person who is not a registered user has bids on active auctions.
