Quote:Greetings from Amazon.com,

In response to buyer and seller feedback, we are making some changes to improve the experience for customers shopping for Collectible media. We have made a change to the Collectible condition and pricing guidelines in our Books, Music, Video, and DVD stores.

The new guidelines specify that to be eligible for designation as Collectible, items must be:
• Unique in a way that increases value for a collector (e.g. signed, inscribed, scarce)
• Not ex-library, a remainder or a book club edition
• Priced at or above $10 or list price (MSRP), whichever is greater

As of the week of July 10, new and updated Collectible listings will be subject to the new guidelines. Listings that have not been modified and are still active and unsold 30 days later will be automatically cancelled, and you will need to re-submit them in a non-Collectible category in order to maintain those listings.

To review and modify your listings, go to your Seller Account and click the “Open” link to view your open Amazon.com Marketplace items. You can edit listing details, such as price, by clicking the “Edit” link. To change the condition of an item, close the listing and re-list by going to the detail page for the item and clicking "Sell yours here." Pro Merchants can download an Open Listings Report by going to the "Generate Reports" section of the Seller Account page. Listing details can be edited within the report, and the file can then be uploaded in text tab delimited format to edit listings in bulk. For more information about this option, click here.

These changes will be an improvement for buyers and sellers and will increase the visibility of collectible items on Amazon.com

Quote: Update: Collectible Listings in Amazon Marketplace

Greetings from Amazon.com,

In response to buyer and seller feedback, we are making some changes to improve the experience for customers shopping for Collectible media. We have made a change to the Collectible condition and pricing guidelines in our Books, Music, Video, and DVD stores:

Items priced at or above the list price (MSRP) or $10, whichever is greater, are eligible for “Collectible” designation. Items priced below this may be listed under “Used” or “New”, but will not be eligible for “Collectible” designation.

These additional guidelines, although not mandatory, may be used to determine whether to list a book as “Collectible.” To be considered collectible, books should be unique in a way that increases value for a collector, for example:
• First edition and first printing, signed, inscribed or scarce
• Not ex-library, a remainder or a book club edition

Seller comments should include:
• Further detail on condition/completeness of exterior, interior and dust jacket (if applicable)
• Edition and printing
• Presence of signatures, inscriptions or other personalization

As of today, new and updated Collectible listings will be subject to the new guidelines. Listings that have not been modified and are still active and unsold in 30 days will be automatically cancelled, and you will need to re-submit them in a non-Collectible category in order to maintain those listings.

We offer several ways for sellers to modify their listings. If you still need to make changes to your listings, we have included some specific instructions below.

These changes will be an improvement for buyers and sellers and will increase the visibility of collectible items on Amazon.com. Update:

Quote:Dear Amazon.com Sellers,

As you may already know, in recent months, we have made some changes to improve the experience for customers shopping for Collectible media. You can read about our new Collectible media guidelines in our previous announcements about this topic:

http://www.amazonsellercommunity.com/for...dID=119387
http://www.amazonsellercommunity.com/for...dID=120398

Starting tomorrow, we will be removing Collectible media listings which do not meet our new requirements. The removal of listings will take place throughout this week.

As a reminder, items priced at or above the list price (MSRP) or $10, whichever is greater, are eligible for “Collectible” designation. Items priced below this may be listed under “Used” or “New,” but will not be eligible for “Collectible” designation.

When listings are removed during this process, the listings will be moved to the "closed" section of your Seller Account. Pro Merchants will also be able to retrieve listing information for cancelled listings via their Cancelled Listings Report.

If your listings are closed, we encourage you to consider relisting the listings so that they comply with our Collectible pricing guidelines. You are also welcome to relist the item using a different condition (e.g., "Used" or "New").
