Quote:crack-addicted squirrels are terrorising Brixton in South London in a desperate search for a fix, eschewing their traditional nuts and digging up residents' front gardens in what appears to be a credible zoological threat to the Yardies' hard-drug hegemony.

Yup, crack dealers and addicts have apparently taken to burying their stashes in people's gardens in the streets around the centre of Brixton after a police clampdown drove them from the thriving commercial heart of the popular London district. Locals have spotted squirrels digging in the same gardens, prompting speculation that they are already addicted

The RSPCA said it had no reports of the "Brixton Crack Squirrel", but did not completely dismiss the idea.

Its kind of funny the number of newspapers and news web sites (including BBC) that ran this story.  I think I'll have to strongly disagree with the following quote though:

Quote:Crack squirrels are a recognised phenomena in the US.

I've never seen (or heard of) "crack squirrels"  in this country.  :Smile

Kim will no doubt enjoy another squirrel article:

Quote:Killer squirrel pack

A pack of Russian black squirrels is reported to have piled into a dog mob-handed, bitten it to death and then eviscerated the unfortunate animal after it ill-advisedly barked at them...

...Locals in the town of Lazo attribute the savagery to a lack of pine cones
