Now this is an idea made to recently and I'd like to here some suggestions on how it could work.
The suggestion was that all the free to list auction sites, get together and create one big site.

One word as to why it wouldn't work: Egos.

what kind of things you would like to see with in the site

The only feature I care about when choosing a venue is buyers.

"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)." -Marie posting  in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue'

I was thinking the same thing about the egos thing, and i've been thinking of a way to get round that. How about  if there was a company policy that if any change is suggested by a member of management or directors etc, it would need to be put to the vote of the registered users of the site.
So it would give you the power to say yes or no to anything that site wants to do, too many sites make changes that don't help its users such as a rise in fees, changes to the layout etc, this way it lets you control the site as much as the people who own it.
As for the buyers, you can't have buyers without sellers, something has to be on sale before anyone buys it, its as simple as that.

Another one bites the dust.  :smileyviolin:

The site appears to have closed sometime in the last 2 weeks (Google cache shows the site was still active on March 30th).  The domain now leads to a suspended page at their hosting company.
