This appeared under the standard feedback form when I was posting feedback tonight.  Next to each line is a drop-down with several choices, such as "Very accurate," "Neither accurate nor inaccurate," "Not accurate," etc.

To give buyers the opportunity to provide more details about their experiences, we're testing a feature in Feedback. We encourage you to leave detailed seller ratings, but during this trial period these ratings will not have any impact on sellers' Feedback scores and will not be shared with other users. Learn more.

Rate the seller on the details of the transaction.
How accurate was the item description?
How satisfied were you with the seller's communication?
How quickly did the seller ship the item?
How reasonable were the shipping and handling charges?

Note: Each detailed rating is optional. Rate the seller only on the criteria that apply to the transaction.

Can you imagine the level of abuse that will now be possible. Especially regarding shipping complaints, when it is the post office who is slow, even when a seller ships promptly. Glad I am closing up shop on ebay.

As eBay continues to grow, it is important that we continue to evolve the Feedback system to ensure it remains a credible measure of trust, so we have been working on a new project to enhance our current system. Feedback 2.0 adds a new dimension to eBay’s feedback system, allowing buyers to rate transactions based on item description, communication, delivery time, and postage & packaging charges.

Feedback 2.0 will add these new features:

Detailed Seller Ratings – In addition to the current positive, negative or neutral comment, buyers rate the sellers on these specific transaction aspects based on a 1 to 5 scale, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest rating. The average of all ratings is displayed on the seller’s Feedback Profile page.

Display of Item Title and Price – To give buyers more information to evaluate the reputation of a seller, the transaction’s item title and selling price will be displayed beneath each Feedback comment on the Feedback Profile page for 90 days. This will give buyers more context while reviewing and evaluating Feedback comments.

Feedback 2.0 will help buyers feel even more confident about a seller’s reputation, while rewarding good sellers by recognising and highlighting the things they do to ensure customer satisfaction.

Pilot launching in February
Last November we turned Feedback 2.0 on for a short period of time in selected markets to gather data, and the results were very promising. Over 80% of all buyers leaving Feedback for sellers left Detailed Seller Ratings during this period. This high rate of usage is important since it increases valuable buyer participation without punishing sellers for the occasional negative rating (which is sometimes due to factors outside the seller’s control, such as a lost parcel, or an item damaged in transit.) Detailed Seller Ratings will be representative of a seller’s overall behaviour as our buyer community views it.

In late February, we will pilot Feedback 2.0 on eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie as well as these six additional markets: Australia, Belgium, France, India, Italy, and Poland. We will continue to monitor the usage of Feedback 2.0 carefully to ensure there is no disruption to the marketplace. If all goes well, we plan to launch globally in late spring/early summer.  [/quote}

It may be possible for a seller that only sells a few items a month to identify when a buyer left them a rating, but it will be very unlikely, for the following reasons: First, the Detailed Seller Ratings will be delayed; second, the averages are only displayed in halves, making it unlikely that a single low score would drop a seller's score, and third, since 80% of buyers left Detailed Seller Ratings during testing, 20% did not. A seller with multiple buyers leaving Feedback will not be able to work out which buyer left Detailed Seller Ratings and which didn't.
