Chris,

Welcome to the world of Wagglemath. Perhaps this will help. Do you know the day of the month you opened your store? Although invoices are due on the 10th the monthly charge comes into effect based on the day of the month you signed up for your store. Today is the 6th, so if your store opened anywhere after the 10th of a month (say after the 10th of April) then the 9.95 charge applies and is in effect even before the official billing date of May 10th. If you opened a store say on the 8th of a month then 2 days later when the invoices are sent you owe your first payment. Is that clear as mud?

Now having said that bravo to you for taking AndRay, ChrisRay, xRay on. You can pursue it further as Sneaky suggested and contact the snake but if you choose not to don't worry about the threat of collection and the $75.00 extra tacked on. Ray has threatened everyone who has crossed swords with him with that tactic but I've not heard of or read on the Internet about one ex-popper who has received correspondence from or been pursued by a collection agency.  If he truly went after every seller he's pulled that on then his legal bill would be astronomical - far greater than his expense to run WP. It ain't gonna happen.

Good luck selling your candles elsewhere. Let us know where you end up. You've got great product.

Found this thread while researching WP after observing its strangeness.  Found TT’s information alarming but helpful.  A lesson learned for me.    It is really sad that it wasn’t a real site.  So is customer care someone or are all alter egos him?     Does anyone know if any fraud has occurred to anyone who has signed up on WP?  New here and have not dug through all the forums.  ( I have been lurking and reading and wanted to say thank you)

Think1st,

Welcome!   :hello:

You kind of got lost in Chrisassts crisis. There is a lot of kick and giggle on this thread, granted some cruel comments, some highly emotional words and views expressed. But within and interlaced is a lot of historical fact regarding Wagglepoop. This zebra has not changed it's stripes since 2005.

To answer your question. Yes, we firmly believe that Ray Romeo, Karen Morrow (past CC1) Andrew Pittino, Christine (2 last names given-pick one) are all the wizard behind the curtain barking through the bullhorn delivering...well frankly...BULL.

Fraud? We've found some suspicious practices and when you get the chance to read through this novel of a thread you'll see some reports suggesting such. Has anyone done anything about it? Not to my knowledge as physical proof on the Internet is very difficult to retain. Ray can't be taken to task for being an egomaniac, snake oil conman. But here on TT we've done our best to expose him for being one.

Okay, so effective April 23, 2008 you would have owed another 9.95 which wouldn't be officially billed to you until May 10th. That's why the demand for payment. Whatever the method of leaving WP sellers are better off without them in their seller profile.

Thanks for the heads up on where you can be found moving forward. All the best to you.

Chris - I just checkout your site and will send you an e-mail.  I'm also a recent former seller - but I got out of dodge before the announcement.

If you find that you do owe the $9.95 pay it - you learn more from suffering the consequences of your mistakes.    But, you can extract a pound of flesh on your way out.

WP's privacy policy is their Achilles heel.  Ray neglected to post an opt out address so you have no choice but to send your request to opt out (and if you read the policy - you do want to opt out) to their corporate registered agent

SEND IT BY CERTIFIED MAIL

Wagglepop, LLC
C/O NATIONAL REGISTERED AGENTS INC
875 AVENUE OF THE AMERICAS
SUITE 501
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, 10001

The charge for the registered agent services is at least $50.00 an envelope.  Anyone know 1000 poppers who would invest $2.75 for a certified letter?  That's a 50K charge to Ray!  Talk about a return on your investment.

If you really want to put the screws to him - include in the notice that you want to opt out AND, pursuant to your rights, request a  list of all third party entities that have received your information so you can send notice to them to opt out as well.   The administrative costs will cost him a pretty penny or keep him busy.

Give him 30 days to reply - and put that time limit in the letter.

If your letter is returned undeliverable (don't open it) or if you don't get a reply within 33 days (3 days mailing is standard for legal claims) - file a FTC complaint, a complaint with the NY AG's office and a BBB complaint.

Governmental agencies love to investigate and they generally charge the investigatee for their time and expense if they find one violation.  Just one.   Of course there is also a fine for each violation.

Add it up - cost to receive letter $50.00, administrative cost to comply $$, fees for governmental agencies to investigate $$, fines for violations $$$

Putting WP out of business - legally - within 3 months - PRICELESS.

Thank you Sherrand and Platzi.  I have been reading through them when I get a chance and also on some of the other boards that are linked.   I really have learned a lesson here!  Ugh  Also never knew there were that many sites.  LOL

Good info BlackeyedBunny, thank you.

Received a PM from someone with really really negative Karma letting me know the 'truth' about WP.  How does one get such negative Karma?  ???

Think, I just gave you your 1st positive karma. The negative score you mentioned has to be either PowerSeller (aka Angelsong777) or user391 whom we aren't positive on identity but have a good idea who they are. Trust me, they earned their scores here on TT.

I won't get into the history of how either built their negs on this open forum but I am willing to exchange PMs with you to provide this information privately.

Blackeyed - WELCOME  :hello:

Interesting first post. Food for thought.

Think, Blackeyed, would you be willing to share the details of your WP experience with us?  Many have done so in the past on this thread and found doing so therapeutic. Spill - stay; spill - move on. Whichever, we who have walked in your shoes in the past offer whatever support you need for as long as you need it.
