I absolutely cannot believe that talk of a "partnership" to keep WP alive is being suggested yet again.  It's all about Ray - always has been, always will be.

The only question is how long until he turns into the primadonna that he is and slams the door on many unsuspecting sellers?

Once again, I say BACK UP YOUR LISTINGS...NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, that's Ray, all right! No mistaking the eloquent and tasteful choice of words.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

And in the "well, duh" department:

P.S.:

"That (fees without upfront cost) is probably the only option now to 'start over' in a way that will allow Wagglepop to gain the traction needed to survive."

Interesting that when I suggested this at WP I was the "dillusional psychotic" old lady who got banned.

And now, even though P.S. has come to see the value of that business model, she still doesn't get it. Ray would not, nor would he EVER, have put together a site with FVFs and no subscription fees, because that would assume two things: (1) that Ray gives a crap about his sellers' success, and (2) that Ray would be willing to work for a living, since his income depends on his sellers' success.

WRONG! The whole idea behind Ray's "business model" if you can call it that, was to have a self-perpetuating site run on auto-hamster, where his sellers did all the work, and Ray did nothing but press a button to   have a computer program spit out monthly invoices-- thus assuring Ray a steady, passive income -- one that would allow  him to languish  in front of a cozy fire in fuzzy slippers, sip martinis, watch the Playboy Channel and occasionally go to the computer to buy an old muscle car off of eBay. Wagglepop was Ray's version of an effortless "get-rich-quick" scheme. He saw the eBay board "blather" and dollar signs flashed before his eyes. What Ray failed to realize was that sellers simply wouldn't stay content FOREVER with paying for nothing,  being lied to, cheated on and  blamed for  Ray's ABYSMAL business sense -- no matter how much Koolaid he mixed and cult philosophy he dished out -- SHAME ON THOSE UNGRATEFUL DEADBEATS, NAYSAYERS, TROLLS, PAID EBAY INFORMANTS, JEALOUS TYPES, AND LAZY BUMS who actually wanted something in return for the monthly fees they were paying, including the freedom to  speak their peace and help make WP a better site for it. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!

where's Platzki when we need her...it's time for her to start singing Another One Bites The Dust.

Unfortunately, there won't be as many verses this time, since there are so few sellers left.

The value of WP, according to AP:

"I would estimate a rough base estimated value of about $45,000 - $55,000 - plus additional discussions concerning value or assumption of accounts payable and receivable, portability of the LLC, domain and trademark licenses, etc. etc."

He didn't say if this was the estimate for purchasing the site or what "management" would gladly pay someone to get it off their hands. :happy001: :happy001:

Applying Ray's notorious "perceived" value formula, I'd say the worth is ZERO.

Ray and his antics are always good for entertainment.  :stolensmiley:

I can't believe that PS is going to pay the $60 to play on that loser site.  You can get an Amazon Webstore for $60 for crying out loud.  Makes me wonder even more about PS, butt kisser that she is.

She runs around PSU, AM and WP like a little puppy dog looking for attention from the site owners.  Poor little pathetic lonely girl. She moans on Amazon boards but nobody cares!

Ummm. I think she's really gone off the deep end. She's asking how much it would cost to partnership, buy the site, take it over with another name, about Ray's tax write off if he were to sell or transfer ownership, etc.

Did she learn nothing about  entering into contracts with boinktards and wasting her money when her home went into foreclosure because her mortgage was allegedly acquired through an "unscrupulous" broker.

 :D :D :D :D

That's not "butt-kissing." That's STUPIDITY. :iamwithstupid:

Maybe she's trying to make a love match between her former and current favorite sites.

Interesting that changing the site name would be mentioned. Gee, ya' think someone finally woke up and smelled the coffee?

Well yeah, stupid would be one hell of an understatement!!

She is boinktard extraordinaire.  She does a lot of butt kissing to MZ and boinktard though, like she is seeking attention.

I do believe that she has gone off of the deep end too, asking all of those nonsense questions about the business.  Would you go to a site that had boinktard #1 and boinktard #2 running the show?  :turkey2:

I really, really think Boinktard #1 is looking for a way out to shut down the place and make it look like it's the useless membership that did it to him and he was forced to shut it down.  Who in the hell would pay 60 bucks for a store, hell even 10 stores, on that site?

He knows that the loyals will be leaving because the koolaid is too bitter this time to swallow.

Thanks for thinking of me Fine... I swear I peed when I saw Andray's perceived value of WP.... OMG I laughed so hard, outloud, I scared myself!!  LOL  I was thinking oh... I don't know... 5... 6 cents... max!! LOL

I can't believe that the day is actually and FINALLY coming and DB... you are right... we haven't always seen eye to eye but your delusional, old lady, crazy mind recommended the no up-front fee structure eons ago.

Follow the bouncing turkey head...

 :turkey2: :turkey2: :turkey2: :turkey2: :turkey2: :turkey2: :turkey2: :turkey2:

Bum bum bum...
Wagglepop bites the dust...
Bum bum bum...
Wagglepop bites the dust...

It still amazes me that he says that the full blames lies on the sellers who didn't pay their bills...

No... It lies on...

1) An owner whose censorship was so harsh that you weren't allowed to ask anything regarding your sales or basically anything business related whatsoever.

2) An owner who wouldn't listen when at 900 stores, the sellers told him what they wanted and he would ban them for questioning his "all knowingness".

3) An owner who wouldn't allow Sellers to discuss amongst themselves business related issues... or ask questions regarding each others sales.

4) An owner who banned Sellers who were not fit to the mold of your average "Loyal Wagglepopper"... or more simply put, those who stayed away from the Kool-Aid.

5) An owner who lied to the flock by telling them month after month that WP's sellers were being kicked out for not paying their bills instead of the truth... that they were banning the sellers for asking simple marketing questions on the forums.

Andray... almost free ISN'T free... $10 is NOT free.  If I walk into a store and take a magazine that says, "FREE TAKE ONE" and leave the store, nothing happens.  If I take a $10 magazine from a store and don't pay for it, I get arrested.  'Cause $10 isn't free... it isn't even ALMOST free.

Alison... I know your reading this and I actually agree with you that the stucture should be free up front so the FVF makes not only you money but the site owner as well.  The owner gets a free ride otherwise on your hard work.

And don't even get me started that when you have a fee structure such as WP, the owner couldn't care less if there are buyers for your goods cause they are getting paid up front fees!  WP never focused on getting buyers because they were already getting paid!!!

WP banned themselves into oblivion.  Even though I was a seller on WP (briefly... I think it was a brain fart or something)...I was their CUSTOMER!!  I paid them to sell there and they kicked me off for stating an opinion... NOT and I repeat NOT for skipping out on my bill.

It was inevitable that eventually they would ban themselves right into the history books... that is if anyone would care enough to read such a short story.

I wouldn't.

PS... btw... the one thing that makes me absolutely frigging crazy about this whole $60 a month thing is that the loyal poppers are still taking everything this creep says as the truth.  Don't they ever question as to why this man is asking for more money up front?  And people are willing to work and help for free?  Weird.

OK so I just reread my post and I have a few more things to add...

I feel truly sorry for all of the sellers of Wagglepop that this is happening to them.  I would never wish ill will on anyone's business, livelihood or happiness.  With that said, I must say that most of the very active forum sellers were aware of the existence of this TT thread as they made sure to tell peoplenot to visit here and listen to the naysayers of WP.

Unfortunately, I think now they see that this was the forum with the most truth surrounding WP that exists anywhere on the internet.

If they would have given this thread the attention it deserved, they wouldnot be in the situation that they are in now.  At the absolute very least, they would have another store on another venue to fall back on.  One that they spent time building and backing up their listings and building their business.

I don't know if anyone (except those of us who participate) took this thread seriously but from day one, we all spoke the truth... at least as we saw it...and I think that it now coming to light in a most unfortunate way.

If I could say one thing to the WP'ers that are still hanging on... "Stop, count your losses and move on."  Stop playing his game and start playing yours.

Best of luck to all...

It really saddens me to know what happens next.  It's like watching the Titanic sink over and over again.  If Ray doesn't get his core group of sellers to cough up the bucks, he's going to have his pets attack like starving wolves.

It will start with something like:  If you sold better merchandise (that one really raised the hair on the back of my neck, huh DB?) or if you weren't so stupid and worked harder (that one applied to me) or if you would stay off the boards and accepted pity sales and just shut up everything will be okay.

Most of us have disagreed at one time or another, but we have remained adults and don't take pot shots at each other or their business.

This time, of the group that is left, there are not enough "visionaries" to soften the blow when the wolves turn on each other.  Poof will go WP - and some of the very fine sellers who remain there will not even try to sell again because the taste of the bile that rose in their throat when the savagery begins just will not go away.

Oh, yes. How could I forget. The reason I wasn't getting tons of sales in Koolaidville was because I was selling carp nobody wanted. Funny how the same carps were hot sellers elsewhere.

 :D

Edit: I like the Titantic analogy -- remember the blah, blah wombat poo poo from "Karen" about WP being the ship and the sellers being at the wheel -- except in WP's case, the "captain" PURPOSELY steered directly into an iceberg and there are no life boats.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Revolution RE-RE-RE-RE-wind. Seems like the rules are changing daily. AP is now "part owner" of Wagglepop.

I'd post the annoucement here, but my editing functions don't work with this site.
