Craigslist Founders says he won't "Sell Out"
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060928/wr_nm/craigslist_dc
Founder says he won't sell Craigslist, even if it's worth as much as MySpace. (doesn't selling some to eBay = selling out? Or is that gray area selling out?)

A minority shareholder went behind his back and sold their 25% stake to eBay--Craig found out about the sale to eBay after the fact. Rumors are that he wasn't pleased. Craigslist is one of the very few ethical companies around...and eBay is...well eBay

Craigslist Founders says he won't "Sell Out"
Since when is Craigslist a social networking site?
Quote:The founder of craigslist, the free social-networking and classifieds Web site, said on Thursday he is not interested in selling out, just hours after MySpace.com was valued at $15 billion. http://news.com.com/Craigslist+founder+h...20890.html |

Re: Craigslist Founders says he won't "Sell Out"
Hey--yeah? I must've been out of it. Since when is it a social networking place first, classified ads second??
I've used it to find apartments, random objects, and even employment & freelance work. Never used it to chat anyone up.

Why would people on CL want to chat with each? It's strictly business, and a great business model. If they want to chat, they can go to a place like TT. |

"If you're living comfortably, what's the point of having more?" Newmark said.
Wal-Mart was founded on that same theory. Too bad Sam Walton passed and his sons turned the company into an unethical piece of poop. |
