Announcement from eBay:

Quote:***Introducing the eBay Partner Network – A New Global Affiliate Program***

Hi everyone…I’m William Martin-Gill with eBay’s Internet Marketing team. Since 2001, our affiliate program has helped web publishers, from the most casual blogger to the veteran internet entrepreneur, earn money for driving traffic to eBay. I’m now pleased to introduce the eBay Partner Network, a new global program that will give affiliates worldwide better access to these revenue opportunities.

What’s New
The eBay Partner Network will be run owned and operated by eBay, instead of using a third-party provider to handle logistics and payouts. This will help us build closer relationships with our affiliates, so that we can improve our tools and offerings more efficiently. Working in closer collaboration with our affiliates, we’ll be able to provide new and improved revenue opportunities and tools much faster than in the past -- including the extension of our opportunities and products across our global markets.

How to use the eBay Partner Network
The new eBay Partner Network will officially launch on April 1st. Registration will open on that day.

After you register, you’ll be able to make money simply for driving traffic to eBay – even to your own listings! For example, if you have a website, include a widget showcasing your listings. Or if you keep a blog, put links on it to your eBay Store. Some sellers with off-eBay stores have even put eBay listings on them as a way to make a little extra money and offer more products to their customers.

You can earn up to a 75% rebate of your final value fees when you drive buyers to your own eBay Store. Go to http://pages.ebay.com/storefronts/promoting.html for more details.

What if I’m already an affiliate?
If you’re already part of the eBay affiliate program, all you need to do is sign up for the new program starting April 1st and change the tracking codes within your affiliate links. You will have until May 1st to change your links. After May 1st, all affiliate payouts will be made through the eBay Partner Network, instead of the old program.

Note: Any affiliate links you’re using for other eBay companies, such as Shopping.com, Stubhub, and Rent.com, do not need to be changed.
