Martha and the sellers at Etsy would not be a good fit. The sellers are independent and proud.....Martha's a bloody control freak, and would wreak havoc, IMO.
I hope that Etsy does not sell to her.

I've heard that also. Very difficult woman, from everything I've heard/read.

The author points out that Kalin has held VC's in disdain previously. Quite a change of heart.
Also, Accel Ventures business is to invest in fledglling companies with the intent of selling said companies.
Etsy cofounder Rob Kalin denied the rumour:
