I was reading at another forum, and I noticed that there were many articles that had been posted, retrieved from various sites on the web. The articles were posted in their entirety, the authors were given credit, and in some instances, no link to the original article was provided.
1. I may be wrong, but don't most blogs, magazines, ezines, newspapers, etc.., allow you to reprint only a portion of the article?
2. Don't they also require a link back to the original article?
And, even with a link back, I think it would still be infringement if you post the full text? Assuming that their copyright states "All rights reserved".
I know that's what many bloggers require, from having reading their copyright info. That's also what I require on my blogs.
Just curious and a little confused......copyright infringement annoys|angers me on many levels.
Edit to change the title.
