To make the limits and intended uses of cars being listed for parts on eBay Motors clearer to buyers and sellers, we will require sellers to include specific disclaimer language in their listings. This requirement goes into effect starting this week, and applies to all new listings created in the following categories:

    * eBay Motors > Parts & Accessories > Car & Truck Parts > Parts Cars
    * eBay Motors > Parts & Accessories > Collector Car & Truck Parts > Parts Cars

If you're creating a new listing in these categories, please copy and paste the following disclaimer in your item description before submitting it to eBay:

This vehicle is being sold for parts only and is not operational or street legal. Therefore, upon purchase, it will need to be either towed or trailered. eBay encourages its members to learn about their state laws governing vehicle sales prior to the sale or purchase of a vehicle.

Note: You should copy and paste the description into your item description exactly as it appears above. Even an extra space or character will prevent you from being able to submit the listing.

If your vehicle listing does not meet these requirements, you should instead list it in the Passenger Vehicles or other appropriate vehicle category. Visit the Motors Regulations for U.S. States page to learn more about your state's laws governing vehicle sales.
