The auction site AAHAUCTION.COM claims it hired eBay execs, has an ex-CEO of eBay on its board, and is planning an IPO. http://www.powersellersunite.com/post-31...tml#312782

2. Last month the parent company's website was a real estate site (all-american-homes.com):http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?sclient=psy&hl=en&q=cache:all-american-homes.com&btnG=Search&aq=f&aqi=g5&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&pbx=1

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/se...uction.com&cd=10&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

3. This month the parent company's all-american-homes.com website  shows the name as Globodyne Corp and claims to have been founded by former World Bank execs.  The website now offers financial planning services:http://www.all-american-homes.com/produc...ducts.html

4. The company claims to have purchased a bank in July:
http://www.all-american-homes.com/press/Press.html

5. No mention of the supposed acquisition on the publicly traded real bank's website:http://www.intermountainbank.com/or on its investor relations profile:http://www.snl.com/irweblinkx/corporatep...id=1981077

Bonus: gotta love the Latin filler on the news page from this company founded by "World Bank execs".  Confusedtolensmiley:  http://www.all-american-homes.com/news/News.html

Bonus 2: "Globodyne": http://www.all-american-homes.com/home.html"Globodayne" http://www.all-american-homes.com/produc...ducts.html

Bonus 3:Brian http://whois.domaintools.com/globodynecorporation.com and Jennifer http://whois.domaintools.com/aahauction.com

Bonus 4: A private eye shares the same phone number and PO box as the all-american-homes website:http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=(208)+448-2797

2 questions:

Why are eBay executives so fascinated with PHP Pro Bid sites from Idaho? In 2006 HiBidder claimed eBay wanted to buy it, and now this site claims former eBay execs are jumping on board.

Why is this site so popular with Idaho based PHP Pro Bid owners? https://www.idcourts.us/repository/partySearch.do

OK, 3 questions.  Was funding provided by Money Depot? Happy001

Sneaky Wrote:has an ex-CEO of eBay on its board

There are only 2 ex-CEO's of eBay.  Pierre Omidar ('96-'98) and Meg Whitman ('98-'08).  Meg resigned from the boards of eBay, Procter & Gamble, and DreamWorks in early 2009 to pursue her political career so it must be Pierre. Happy001 Happy001 Happy001

Umm, miss idiot, did you just wake up? AAH is running the infamous Rainworx RW Auction script made famous by Waggle 1. :Smile

Isn't the use of eBay VP of seller and buyer experience Dinesh Lathis' name and picture on this 9/13 announcement identity theft?
http://www.aahauction.com/fees.asp

Lathis is still employed by eBay (see 9/15 eBay press release http://www.marketwatch.com/story/ebay-ma..._news_stmp

Putting his name on that page is identity theft,  and it's also extreme stupidity if you're trying to attract auction sellers.  Lathis ranks just below Donahoe on the Despised by Sellers list.  Read the comments sellers made in response to a video interview Lathis gave last week. http://3rdpoblogs.com/colderice/2010/09/...qus_thread

Si Señor  , but if you're barefoot is there really any difference between stepping in cow poop (Pro Bid) and dog poop (Rainworx)?  Confusedtolensmiley:

It's pretty impressive that they were able to land national retailer Blockbuster to sell on their site. http://www.aahauction.com/stores.asp  Confusedarcasm1: (whether Blockbuster will find the unauthorized use of their name, logo, and trademark impressive is another question).

Equally impressive is creating a store called The Game Shop and copying national retailer GameStop's old '4500 stores' promo text word for word. Confusedarcasm1: Google search for '4500 stores'promo text

Amazingly they also managed to convince one of the largest online toy retailers (ranked #7 in toys last September) , ToyWiz, to open a store on AAHAuction. Confusedarcasm1:

He's also one of the smartest people at eBay.  It would be a cold day in hell before he or any other eBay exec would consider moving to a site like AAHAuction.com.  About the only eBay employees the boinktards in Idaho might be able to attract to their boxed script site are the $450 monthly workers in eBay's Cebu (Philippines) call center and even that's doubtful.
AAHAuction sock puppet Viper99156 opened a store on AAH overnight and in AAH tradition stole the old logo of Australia's largest classified site, TradingPost*, for her store's logo   She did have the sense to crop the bottom part of the logo ("where Australians buy and shop online").  The original logo is viewable on this webdesigner's site: http://www.portline.com/ . In keeping with another AAH tradition (see the misspelling of American  as 'Ameriacn' on the domain's WHOIS) her store name is misspelled 'Psot'. :Smile

*TradingPost is owned by Australia's largest telephone co. Telstra. Telstra acquired TradingPost for A$636 million in 2004
