Quote:ONLINE auction house eBay has more than 68 million shoppers, and has just launched its Christmas advertising campaign.

But if you are planning to buy your presents online and have not used eBay before, it can be a daunting experience and can leave you open to fraudsters and scams.

The biggest problem for eBay shoppers is that you are not covered by the same consumer rules that protect you when you are buying from a High Street store, or indeed another online trader...

Does that mean 165 million - 68 million shoppers = 97 million sellers?  That would explain the slow holiday season on eBay  :twistedevil:

Very sad but it seems accurate.  We've had good sales this weekend including a sale on Bidville  :blinkie: (and that buyer paid right away)  :blinkie: but we haven't had a sale in our eBay store since before Thanksgiving.
I just had  3 sales on the bay this afternoon and this evening.
All BIN's one paid right away and the others must have forgot how to. LOL

But it has been dog slow for the last few weeks at the bay
and actually I'd rather they don't by just let the ads run
and come to papa at the site to buy for less. Laughing7

I did get a sale on Yahoo too tonight and they paid right away. Occasion18

The Website was slow for a couple of days (understandably being the holiday)
but it was at least getting some sales and the folks were
actually paying were as ebay was DEAD.

My site just started picking up again more last night and today.
I have a feeling it's going to go CRAZY
this week.

Just like every year in the last few.
They all want to wait till the last minute and I get buried in work
trying to get it out in time for Santa.
But that is the name of the game right?

This year I decided no matter what.
I'm not going to kill myself and let Xmas go by with-out enjoying it. Nono

Oh yea in the last couple of years.
I got MORE sales after Xmas and usually kept up well through April and May.

I think we got OFF topic here.

According to feebay you are only safe if you wear on off these.
And for their site me thinks this is true.

Now I understand PayPal's Buyer Protection Policy...
Take a look at the PP SELLER PROTECTION POLICY.

If it's not TOO bad I'll post it here.

But be forewarned. Nono

Oh yea to correct my spelling on the last post.

It should read:
According to feebay you are only safe if you wear one of these.

And I haven't even started drinking my BEER yet.
