Just thought I'd share this.

We were having issues keeping track of the huge number of customer emails and inquiries we receive each day. Some emails were getting neglected, so we started fishing around for some way to get our behinds organized.  :blinkie:

I just wanted to share this kind of neat, web-based helpdesk system that's only $9.95 per month:

http://www.helpdeskconnect.com/

It manages emails using help tickets, and also has a built-in FAQ system that you can flesh out for your site.

They have a couple of other helpdesk type applications, including one which is non-web based: http://www.helpdesklite.com/

(no, we don't own the company. LOL. I don't know them, either). Hope this doesn't sound like
Spam4

*cough*

Not sure if anyone else out there already uses helpdesk?

There's a couple of excellent free ones too.  I forgot the name of the first one  :Smile but the 2nd one used to be  a $200 commercial program...now its free.  It has a trouble ticket system, auto replies, canned replies, built-in FAQ (although we're using phpmyfaq instead of the built-in one). See it in action here.

There are a bunch of good free ones at Hot Scripts:

Very cool! Thanks for posting.

Do any of those also offer multiple simultaneous connections? As in more than one "operator" logged in and viewing / answering tickets? If so, I'm always happy to use the free ones first.  Color
The one we are using allows multiple operators.  I just PM'd you the link to the manual.
