eBay to Add Live Pets Classifieds Format in 2006

ALive Deal's pets classifieds have been very successful B. Like Microsoft, eBay has never had an original idea and operates by stealing others' ideas and using its financial muscle to push the stolen idea to a market leading position and eliminate the competition.  Smile  Combine A. and B. and you get this:

Dear Pets Community Members-

We are hoping to launch a Live Pets Classified Format early next year. The listings would not be transactional and there would only be a listing fee. We are also looking into allowing non-profit animal shelters to list animals for adoption for free.

I would love to know what our active community members think about this new category. We are also considering Pet Services in this format as well - grooming, walking, etc..

Please feel free to reply to this thread or email me directly at pretz@ebay.com

Thanks!

Since eBay's Germany and China sites have been known to hold auctions for human children, providing a marketplace for the auctioning of other species was the logical next step for eBay.  Laughing4

Anyone that has a pet knows this is NOT a good idea.  Morons.

The site that Anita is hotlinking her graphic from  Laughing7 has eBay's latest lame brained attempt to increase revenues on their "action alerts" page.

Add your comments to the Discussion Board. If this new format is implemented, boycott eBay until the listings of live pets are removed.

Do you mean what is wrong with eBay?  easy answer: eBay is run by boinktards.  Tongue

Any guesses what Meg and Bill will go for?  Happy001
The way things are REALLY going for the bay:
I'm sure they are considering allowing A LOT of stuff soon.

If they do another FEE increase... IT will KILL them.
Me thinks...
Selling pets?  Oh vey!  So, does a pet fit as oversize letter rate, media mail or parcel post?  (just kidding).  Big Grin
I don't agree with this one.
Me either.. But then again I don't agree with MANY things
the bay has and continues to do.
