In December, Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates suggested that his company may offer cash or free products to users of its MSN search engine. A few months before that, A9, owned by online retailing giant Amazon.com Inc., started giving frequent users small discounts on purchases from its parent's Web site.

Yahoo had their chance in the US.
Hell Yahoo was first or at least really doing well.
I sold pretty well on yahoo then all of a sudden they started charging and bam.
Traffic quit too.

Me thinks Y and E made a back room deal.
Y gets Japan and E get US.
Four to five years ago or so.
I have evidence to show they may have.

Anti trust is a terrible thing to waste.
Millions where made by both. In separate markets.
