Quote:PayPal is pleased to announce that from 16 March 2006 the variable fees customers pay for receiving payments have been reduced - by upto 26% in some cases. Both domestic and cross-border fees are affected.

In fact, the lowest rate for receiving domestic payments has fallen from 1.9% + 20p to 1.4% + 20p - an overall reduction of 26.3%.

Currently the fees you pay with PayPal vary from 3.4% + 20p to 1.9% + 20p depending on the volume of payments you receive each month. As from this week sellers with an average monthly total payment volume over £6,000 will be eligible for lower rates. In fact in some cases the variable fees will be reduced by up to 26%.

• Log in to your account at www.paypal.co.uk
• Click on the fees link at the bottom of any page
• Click on the receive funds link
• Click on the merchant rate criteria link

Once you’ve applied you will automatically be eligible to lowest fee applicable each month provided that you meet the criteria.

Or is it possible more of ebay UKers are opting
to use bank to bank xfers.. cutting out the middle man?
Or could it be that the soiled PP reputation so righfully deserved,
