I'm assuming they're for link popularity - maybe an automated link exchange?

Is it something you guys are doing, or are you using a particular company?

Do you make $ on them or are they for site promotion only?

I just started to notice these out and about on the internet - never really noticed them before.

They're at the bottom of the pages in FAS too...  Smile

Its the Digital Point Co-op Advertising Network--no $$ but a good way to get (temporary) backlinks in search engines...

Quote:Currently the types of sites that can use it are ones that do server-side processing. This includes vBulletin 2.x and vBulletin 3.x forums, phpBB 2.x forums, Movable Type blogs, Blogger blogs or any site that supports PHP, ASP, PERL, cold fusion, etc..

Excellent - thanks for the info.

Correction, they would be at the bottom of the pages on FAS if someone (not naming names) would update the ad_network.php file:

Quote:ad_network.php file needs updating | ad_network.php file needs updating | ad_network.php file needs updating | ad_network.php file needs updating | ad_network.php file needs updating

Edited to add:  There is also another similar ad network called Link Vault that provides permanent backlinks.  I haven't tried it yet but a lot of people have dropped Digital Point in favor of Link Vault..

I'm reading their sites and terms now . . .  Read2
