Hello Everyone,
Our Marketing Department has a few enhancements rolling out today, which will visually improve auction listings and also improve the way they show up in search results. (google, yahoo, etc.)
You will see a more streamlined look to the auction page itself (which loads at an average of 80% faster), as well as a new streamlined url for each auction. (a streamlined url for your homepage is coming soon after this, making self promotion easier)
Old auction url format:

New format:
http://auctions.overstock.com/item/00000000
Alt tags will be added to auction images, and Title tags will be added to our taxonomy to improve the way they show up in search results.
Several direct RSS buttons (google, my yahoo!, my aol, newsgator, among others) will be available on your homepage, making it easier for buyers who subscribe to RSS feeds to keep up to date with your auctions.
We're also adding more marketing space on each Department page, so that we can feature sellers & specials within each department. More details about that to come....
