Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Katrina. In response, Alibris contacted sellers from the Gulf Coast region and placed a number of accounts on hold. We also notified customers about possible shipping delays and asked for their patience in light of the situation. Alibris will waive fees for those severely affected and urges others to join us in donating to relief organizations such as the Red Cross or Antiquarian Booksellers' Benevolent Fund.

The Antiquarian Booksellers' Benevolent Fund (ABBF) is a nonprofit charitable organization established to help booksellers who have faced catastrophic circumstances as a result of natural disaster, sickness, or other unforeseen event.

Established and administered by the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America (ABAA), the funds are available to all booksellers, regardless of ABAA affiliation. Donations may be made by check, payable to "Antiquarian Booksellers' Benevolent Fund" and addressed to:
