Any noteable closures sherrand?

I'm working on a summary now. KaRay already posted that 19 stores were 'suspended'. So far 6 were ghost stores.Â
Wow, that was quick!
There were 313 when I left a few hours ago.
Lots of deliquent accounts. I can't even believe they even broadcast that. When you think about it, it doesn't reflect well on the company that so many people wouldn't be paying their accounts. If you're doing well and receiving something in return, you'd be glad to pay.
Well, maybe it'll be back down to where it was last May by the time it rolls around again.
It could've been a lot different.

A few from the first list could have closed while I was away and I missed them which would account for my list being over 19. Ghost stores account for at least 10 of these that are gone.

Hello Members,
Based on some new threads, today seems like a good day to illustrate a point we have been trying to make all along about selling on Wagglepop.
We have put a tremendous amount of effort into making the site "search engine friendly", and it's paying off in the ways that are being described.
Many people ask us "how much traffic Wagglepop gets" when the real question should be "I'm getting higher rank for my Store and listings on Wagglepop than I get on eBay - how are you doing that?"
eBay's main search engine is the "inside eBay" engine.
Wagglepop's main search engine is all of the major search engines outside of Wagglepop.
That pretty much sums up our overall philosophy and approach.
When you open a Store on Wagglepop and list items, the odds are very good that you can optimize for good rank and achieve it. Everything about Wagglepop has been designed for that optimization.
We strongly doubt that there is any other selling outlet online that offers such an optimized environment for search engines as the opportunity on Wagglepop.
Look for Stores from other smaller auction sites in search engines. Look for listings. You won't find many of either, except for a small handful.
Our belief is that if you are an eBay seller and adding to your customer base from within eBay, by opening a Wagglepop Store you'll then be targeting search engines and those shoppers.
This bears repeating:
eBay listings target buyers shopping on eBay.
Wagglepop listings target buyers shopping on search engines.
We are targeting buyers where they shop, and for $9.95 per month, any eBay seller can come here and do the same and get their entire inventory exposed. It is a remarkable opportunity, assuming we can get more eBay sellers to accept that there is a world outside of eBay.
Wagglepop is more than just an auction or shopping site, it's about changing the thinking about what an auction site can be and about targeting buyers who do not shop on eBay.
Over 80% of all online purchases start with a search engine search.
And that's where we are setting up shop

I wonder what's going on with this store it is odd that it keeps coming and going. This store was legit at one time I purchased a photograph from him way back shortly after WP launched. He sells on ebay too or at least he did last I knew. He's a very nice seller from Canada. I wonder if he is aware of this. It would seem kind of funny if it were him opening and closing like this why would someone do that.

Give me a break. Note to WP sellers: Karen keeps telling you you're indexed and is using the word Wagglepop when searching for your indexed store. Leave that word out and guess what? Your eBay listing are coming up FIRST. Now tell me - who is going to specifically search for "wagglepop your-store-name"? No one that's who.

Where is the TRAFFIC to back up your statement? Even IF you're that great at SEO, people still aren't buying. The real sales report under the Survey post shows that. Fat lotta good your supremely optimized site is doing for your sellers. Ray, you're a fraud.

Sher, I might be a lil slow today but what are the numbers after the store names? At first I thought they were item counts but you have a couple with numbers that say 'empty but not closed'.
Sorry eclectica, I should have stated that. The number represents total of items (at my last count) that each store had at the time it closed. The empty but not closed stores could potentially come back so I did not give number of listings. Does that make sense?Â

We know how they like to "come back"Â
