Shouldn't they have included what the great marketing plan was for their grand opening now that the month is over? After all there isn't any reason to keep it a secret anymore. It would have been a nice touch to their sales report.Â

Nah, the plan was so innovative and radical they may want to use it again. After all, we wouldn't want eBay trying to copy their successful techniques!

Yeah you don't want Ebay to get wind of how much Ray paid for the keyword wagglepop. Or the elusive aka yet to be seen or aired TV commercial.
I wonder if due to the drastic reduction in stores if Ray's absence from the boards is because he had to get a job.

I was thinking the same thing only I haven't seen any openings lately for a fuzzy pink drag queen in the local want ads. Oh by the way Ray was paying about 5 cents per click. Ebay on the other hand is paying 15 cents per click.

Maybe he went back to teaching at the community college. He would probably give the students assignments to upgrade WP. That way he gets free labor.

Nah, he's off writing a manual on how to use hamster wheels as an alternative power source. And then he's going to try to con Al Gore into endorsing and distributing it as part of his crusade against global warming. Good luck, buck-o!Â
Quote:11214 More number fudging. This is the number of memberships DB posted above.
That figure represents the number of people who have registered on Wagglepoop from May 16, 2006 to February 1, 2007.
eBay's main competitor WagglepopÂ
compared to the also-rans:
Wagglepop 11,214
Overstock Auctions (current membership unknown but membership reached 600,000 during the 1st 6 months it was open according to an Overstock SEC filing)
Bidville 900,000+
uBid 4,000,000+
ePier 107,219

:ditto: our sales and traffic were both up in March at all 5 of our stores.

Here too.
Too bad KaRay is such a wuss. I really would love to see a Popper demand an explanation of this (along with the nose-dive in traffic after the grand flopping) and see Ray defend his position. He can't, therefore he deletes.
I see KaRay has managed to rally some of the troops.
The 'survey thread' has now turned into a rah rah session:
Quote:Tonight I found another great reason to "hang in there". I had communicated with someone back in late 2006 and early 2007 about some items that she was interested in. This week she found me here again, was interested in some completely different items this time, and just made a purchase for $109.99. It wouldn't have happened if I weren't still here.

So they stuck around 4 more months for a hundred bucks? Um, great business plan there.
I wonder if I could convince the electric or gas company to wait just four more months because I'm sure I'll get a sale and then I'll be able to pay them. Better yet, I'll see if my landlord will take a multi-year installation plan for my monthly rent.

And a response:
Quote:She probably would have found you again anyway. Especially if you had previously communicated via email.
Sorry, but I don't buy into that whole 'hang in there' in hopes that someone who came to your store six months ago might come back. Those situations are few and far between.

Hehe, where's that delete button?
