This will sound a bit deep...but I have to say it.
All commerce,casinos,con-artists, lotteries etc. are based on one human trait...
"Hope for Gain."
We spend our days in the hope to gain something..
A purchase that will satisfy our wants or needs.
A winning slot machine/lottery ticket to make us happy and help our financial needs.
We sell on the internet or work at our jobs for financial gain.. and satisfaction we can do a good job.
The world is built around this "Hope".
Sometimes we get so focused thinking we are gaining when we are really not.
IE. That winning $100.00 lottery ticket cost you $300.00 in purchases of other lottery tickets to get it..
I am hoping the current WP members read this and weigh the actual costs of fees/time/inventory and other factors...and compare it to the sales.
If as a seller you are really ahead Congratulatons!.....if not re-think your venue and methods..
Is it really worth it?
Determine what your "hope for gain" is and timeline to achieve it. When the timeline is past and you have given the project all it requires. Time to move on....
I had 2000 items on Wp for 4 months ...actual sales 6....non-paying buyers 5....
If I had put a minimum wage value on my time....I would have been minus $1,950..
An easy "time to move on" choice...
Back to your regular scheduled programming!

Nice post Cash
The only thing I would like to add is at least when I waste a few bucks on a lottey ticket the money is going to a good cause ....lol
