Hmmm....thanks for your take on it Stardust, and I feel sure that Vital will go along with you on that. However I really don't think I missed the point.
Bolding is mine. That remark is stating that whether it's viral mktg or traditional mktg/press, they both accomplish the purpose of creating a buzz.

Btw, bad press is NOT the same as good press. It generally will have the opposite effect.
