Anyone wanna take a peek at Ray's new wheels?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...l?ViewItem&viewitem=&item=230135771109
Notice the listing says "pick up, only." Maybe Ray's planning to make a run for the border after picking up his California ride, just south of L.A.

Well, after getting through that horribly written description, it sounds like the car, although in great condition, needs a number of repairs plus some just good old maintenance before it runs nice and smooth... so the question is, how many wagglepoppers is it going to take to fix his new car up?
ETS: eyeswide - so glad to hear about Patches! And they're all suppose to be spoiled! I have a 55-60 pound foo-foo dog here myself!

Hey! I resemble that remark! Just kidding. I have no problem with other sellers buying from me because I do buy at estate / garage sales sometimes, but I resent it when you are already almost giving something away and they say stuff like "Can you take less than a quarter on this?" I mean come on, if we are talking several dollars, I'll bargain, but a quarter? I guess that's why the flea market didnt work for me. I have no patience!
Anyway, good luck on your sale today. I may get out in a bit and see if there are any sales in my neighborhood, see who I can get nasty with! LOL
Sherrand, thanks for keeping all of us updated on the stores. Your reports are appreciated. Delist poppers, delist! There is life after Wagglepop. I am doing much better on Ecrater and Blujay than I ever thought about on Wagglepoop.

I currently have 5 dogs and 2 cats. Love them all, and yes, all of them are spoiled. Them my parents have one dog (Patches) and a cat. Patches rides in the car, rides in my Dad's bicycle basket, and generally runs the house. It is easier to spoil her because she is so little!

LOL, Honestly I do not mind selling to sellers at all as long as they are civil.Â
Good morning, Gang!
Missed seeing you, Patti. Great to know you've just been lurking. My online time has been very limited the last couple days, so I had to play catchup again this morning.
Eyees, I'm so sorry that I missed your original post about Patches. I'm so happy to know that things are on the better side now. Healing vibes sent your to make sure Patches stays on the mend.
I came across this old WP post a few minutes ago. Just had to share to prove what a trusted, intergrity based outfit WP is and what gawd-awful jealous conspiring deadbeats, infiltrators, naysayers, paid eBay Employees with agendas, morally bankrupt miscreants, trolls we
really are.Â
Bolding my own.

Hello Members,
Noticed this thread this thread just now, I'd like to share something that I think might be useful from an information perspective.
We feel that the community boards on other sites serve a purpose, and an important one, for the online buying and selling community so that people may speak openly about WP, or any site, without restriction.
As a matter of internal policy, not only do we not post on any independent community forums, but we do not even read them.
That has been strict policy since I got started almost a year ago.
I thought it was important to publicly set the record straight on this point

Hey Ray, you should have bought a flat-bed truck intead of a car. How else are you going to move that nose around with you?

Am I the only one who has always found it strange that KaRay registered on WP (
on 5/2/06)Â after the dead store owning baseball players even though she claimed to have been part of the company since September 2005?
Hello all!! Â I've been lurking too but very sporadically. Â I was away at the shore for a few days and we're going again tomorrow til tuesday. Â It has been crazy busy around here and I'm glad because it takes our minds off of Dusty. Â I was very happy to hear about Patches!! Â I'm glad that everything is working out! Â
I remember that post about reading other community forums... what an idiot... Â
Regarding yard sales... don't get me started!!! LOL Â Before I started selling on online, we had a yard sale every year. Â I gave stuff away for pennies... collectible Lenox, Hallmark Ornaments, retired pfaltzgraff patterns... all kinds of stuff. Â I never sold on eBay then and had no idea what stuff was worth to collectors! Â I even sold 3 rolling laptop briefcases (expensive ones) for $3!!!!!!! Â I don't have yard sales now... I learned my lesson! Â But you could always tell the collectors from the browsers as the collectors didn't talk to you unless they were completely rude. Â The browsers would meander thru and talk about the weather... Â Now when I go to yard sales as a collector, I meander and talk about the weather... Keeps 'em guessing!!!! Â ROFL!!!! Â One day I forgot myself and argued over 75 cents... the lady must have thought I was nuts... but it was all I had left!! Â They were my last stop!! Â
So anyhoo... I am off to the shore tomorrow and have tons to do today. Â My cousin has a house there and she lets us use it for free. Â Gotta love that!!
Anyway, TT'ers... have a fabulous weekend and I'll tawk to ya lata!!!! :turkey2:
eyeswide I'm very happy to hear Patches is doing better. That's great news.
Brat good luck with that street sale today.

220 store found.
Hi all. I haven't been posting but I've been lurkingÂ
Sherrand - thanks for the store update!
witheyeswideopen - Glad to hear Patches is going better!
WP boards have been very, very quiet. Maybe all the poppers are delisting?
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Patti yes the boards at WP have been quiet but there is a little controversy going on in the share your wares thread. Â Looks like some of the poppers are revolting against the new head cheerleader. Â Seems they don't like some of her ideas

This is just my opinion.
I used to check the Share Your Wares thread every day. I got some really cool gift ideas. Now that it's a weekly thing, it's just too much work wading through a whole week at a time.

Hi xxxxx,
If you're checking this thread on dial-up, I feel for you.
I thought the past couple of weeks have been very productive. The idea was to enable people to find answers fast and get back to work, and we have accomplished that I think.
Another reason for the single thread is because not everyone visits the boards daily. In fact, most people stop in just on the weekends. According to my traffic reports Thu, Fri, Sat are the bussiest days. The single thread allows those that posted an item or 2 on Mon, or Tue to get equal exposure.
If anyone has any suggestions that will benefit everyone, I'm game.
As I mentioned before, this is a place of business, and if we can somehow maintain some order, we will all benefit in the end.
One possible solution might be if we could all limit the size of the images to , let's say 200 x 200 pixels. That will speed up the loading time at least.
What do you guys think?

Most of my images are 250 X 250. I would have to make an extra 200 X 200 version of everything? I already make 2 versions of every image...one uncompressed for auto-upload since most auto uploaders have a built-in compression factor anyway, so I do that one to avoid having that one being overcompressed. Then I make a second version for my actual listing that is compressed 8% to cut down on KB's but not so much that the quality is degraded too much. I really don't want to have to make a 3rd version for the share your wares thread.
I would be willing to limit the number of items I show on this thread to 1. I have already been limiting it to no more than 3. I would rather do that than make special sized images for this thread.

Just one more post about picture size and then I'll hush.
KB size is more important than pixel size when it comes to loading speed. If you right-click on the images, you will see some that are small, yet quite large in kilobytes. So just reducing pixel size doesn't always solve the problem.
If you don't know how to compress an image, there are lots of programs out there that can do that. I use Paint Shop Pro, so I compress mine in that program. I think there are many others that are cheaper than PSP, and there might even be an online service that is free. I haven't checked in sooo long. This is something that is useful for much more than just posting on this thread. Compressing your images before putting them in your listings also speeds up the loading time of your listing, and buyers love fast loading listings.

Hi xxx,
You're right size does matter. There are some free image editors out there, I will dig some up and post.
limiting the amount of images may not help cause the idea is to post as you list.
I was thinking that we have a Misc board that is not being used. So, what do you guys think about moving the Share Your Wares thread over there, and at least until we grow a little more we can have more frequent threads. This way they are all in one place so they are easier to go through and see who listed what, when ...
and it keeps the clutter out of this one.
It also gets us checking other boards cause we have neglected them.
Now I have something to share also. No, not a listing. I have been trying to finish this page but kept running into problems with one of the browsers so I appologize to all the Firefox users out there, but it ain't happ'nin.

Hi again xxx,
Do you think buyers will frequent the Miscellaneous thread? I think we have been posting the Share Your Wares thread on the most frequented board, which is this board, in hopes of getting exposure for our items. Like you said, the Miscellaneous board is not being used, so how much exposure will we get for our items there?
The number of posts is what piques someone's interest in a board. They look at it and say, not much going on there, oh but that one is real popular. I'll look in on that popular one. Now, if we all start posting a lot on the miscellaneous thread, then that might help to draw some lookers in that would see our wares on the share your wares thread, so it could work.
While I do like showing my wares to the other sellers and seeing theirs as much as the next person, my main motive for posting my items here is hopefully to inspire a sale eventually.

My two cents ... I like the share your wares here, I like it daily, so I don't have to go thru a long list everyday to see what I already saw the day before. Just my opinion, but that is also kinda why I don't share as much, the long thread drives me a little insane after awhile. Plus, if someone ran a special for just one day ..say Tuesday, we have to look at it all week and say crap, I missed it! lol! You know I hate to say anything at all, but we have already had a lot of changes around here ...seriously, let's maybe keep some things the same, reason being, if anyone else is like me, sometimes you just can't learn new things as fast and trying to keep up would only turn me off.

Hi guys,
If you'd rather do the daily, that's fine with me. I'm not going to argue - I'm out-numbered
Besides you post more often than I do, I'm simply trying to avoid the chaos that happens when there's too much going on and some people lose it.
We can start a new thread tomorrow, this one is getting kinda slow to load.
It would be neat to see some of the stuff that the contestants have listed.
I wanna go check on those numbers. Are they in yet?

But poppers remember you can't speak openly about WP on the WP community boards or it will be deleted and you will be banned so fast your head will spin. Â Â

If community board on other sites serve an important purpuse, it can thus be deduced that the WP community forum serves no important purpose.
KaRay, you're a genius!!!!!!!!!
