Well, I hate to leave all this sheer joy and all-around fun that we're having this morning, but me and the coffee cup are heading back to packing the PODS. We hope to be out of the old house in two weeks so that the excavators can demolish it.

Ok, there are tons of people here on TT that can help with Zen Cart. It is supposed to be pretty easy to use.

Also, one of my favorite set ups is Merchant moms or Pappashops.com (they advertise here). They both offer the same cataloge shopping cart that makes it extrememly easy to use.

Pappashops has better pre-installed templates, IMHO.

Super easy page creators, inventory control, a one button push to have your products uploaded to Froogle.

Visit either sites and try out the demos.

Like the others said, you will have to do your research and figure what works best for you.

WP reads peoples PM's, deletes people at THEIR OWN WILL NOT YOURS!!! They ban both sellers and potential customers.

If you think the people here are out to get the "sellers" you really need to read the entire thread. See the things people have experienced.

The sellers on WP should be commended for their positive attitude but you all deserve to be selling somewhere where it will be rewarded.

If you can show us, one single example of how the owner of WP has done something to promote THE SELLERS in any way, please let us know.

I for one never called them idiots or said anything nasty about them on WP boards. I was fed a bunch of nonsense about "We the People" and was led to believe I had a say for my $9.95. But, anytime you asked a question, no matter how nicely it was, if it questioned something they had promised early on, it got deleted.

When one constantly lies they don't want to be reminded of the truth.

So, if you feel it is fantastic to pay $9.95, list as many items as you choose, hand over the "real" control to someone else who will ban people whenever they want and read all your correspondance, then feel free to sign up and start selling away on WP.

As you can see, there are no longer any "We the People" threads, Sales Reports, Quarterly Updates or anything else. WP feels for your $9.95 you do not need to know.

If you want to hang out and "organically" grow your store, get your own website and submit it to websites and froogle and you can do just as much as WP is doing, and usually more. But YOU will be the one in control of who can visit your store, not someone else.

I did read from page one. and again my opinions of wp are irrelevant to what I was talking about.  while reading through the posts there was alot of "ray bashing" and sharing experiences about wp as a whole. Very informative I might add. but there were also posts about "the southern cheerleader" Vas and speculation as to whether it was a male or female and sexual orientation. Actually there were alot of posts about that seller.  In the initial pages of the forum it was all about thoughts on wagglepop as a whole and then occassionally a former member announcing their reason for leaving but for the most part all I see here and now is a spectators sport. pulling apart the sellers simply for being a part of that community.  & let it be known my opinions were not referenced in any of my intitial postings here it wasnt until I was backed into a corner that I felt compelled to bring that out.
I personally dont feel cyberstalking would be a term used to describe this forum however if definitions are going to be thrown in my face simply for relaying another persons thoughts the definitions should be used in their entirety. And I have never backed down to bullies in my life. Not about to start now 40 yrs later.  My opinions are not based on "cultish" activities or teachings. They are based on what i have read here in the 500 or so pages that I scrolled through and what I have been told by other wp members.

Ok, my fellow TT friends, I'm probably not going to be popular with this opinion but...

After going back to MBB's first post, I have to agree with her (sorry if my assumption you're female is wrong!). I didn't take her first post as derogatory, flaming or accusatory in nature. She was simply relaying what she was told and the opinions the Poppers have of our activities. She didn't say "you are doing this". She said "I've been told...". There is a difference. Once backed into a corner, anyone will naturally lash out to defend themselves and it seems that maybe her initial post was misinterpreted and then things quickly got ugly.

Since you were referring to my post with your first one, MBB, yes, I did know they were referring to TT. I saw the Kool-Aid comment. I don't like to jump to assumptions or conclusions. My post was more rhetorical in nature, and left the door open to the possibility that the post about here vs. there was not directed at TT. That's my nature. I'm not typically a confrontational person, I do call it as I see it though.

Personally, I have no issue with any WP seller in particular. Occasionally, names are "dropped", but more often than not, you will see that posts that are copied have any identifying information removed, respecting the privacy of the poster. Only those with access to the WP forums would be able to see who actually said what. So, cyberstalking? Nah, I just don't see it.

All that said, I think it's too bad that the posts got ugly, and I'd like to welcome you to TT. Differing opinions are just that, differing. And here, unlike there, we don't believe in censorship. You have every right to post what you think. Have at it!

It is always nice to see new people drop by and learn of their online experiences and you are not an exception. But I am having difficulty sorting fact from fiction in what you have posted so far. Let me give you a few examples of my confusion.

"While I am not the one who posted..."  lends the belief that you are registered at WP, you could have posted. You clearly state twice that you didn't partake in that WP thread and the only way to read your choice of words "another wp member..." would be that you are one too. Yet a couple of posts later you start back-peddling stating you are not a member of WP, can't read the boards etc.

Again "other" sellers can only be read as inclusive of you.

I saw the "lets yank their chain" thread on WP. The participants were 4. One only posted asking the OP to PM them as to where this board is. The other 3 carried the conversation with a total of 19 posts. By your admission you are friends with 2 of these people. You not only know who contributed to that thread but you are able to quote from it. I'm truly impressed with the detail you are privy to. That email your friend sent you must have been quite long! And how curious that neither of these friends, especially your email one never mentioned this TT thread to you. It contains over a year's worth of posts. It wasn't born yesterday.

I think you need a proof-reader before you hit that submit button so you can keep your facts and fictions straight. It works like a charm. 

Are you a friend of Vas?

Vas was discussed as his/her sudden "appearance" on the boards is very interesting.

This seller never visited the boards frequently at all. Only seemed to appear when someone was complaining about a customer.

Vas tends to constantly place anyone's unrest on "Ebay". If you had actually read every single post on this forum you would see some of the clips of this sellers comments.

We believe Vas is a friend of the owner. They are there to "help control" the WP population. To try to keep people focused and minimize the time spent on WP boards. With less people on the boards "thinking" then the less people will "know" what is really going on. You would have seen this shown also, if you had read all the posts.

I know I don't put friends of the owner into my "sellers" catogory. That seller has an AGENDA, and that is to keep down the mass exodus of sellers, period.

How can you form an opinion without knowing all the facts?  If you read everything here you will see that it is WP and their bad business practices who is doing more harm to the sellers then anything written here could ever do.

If WP had done things differently there would still be more stores there right now dispite the fact that there was negative things posted about it from the beginning.  Many sellers gave WP a shot even though there were negative things being posted about it back then. The thing is WP's actions just proved that many of those negative things were true.

This is another thing why when you claim yourself that you don't know about WP or your not promoting WP or that you don't know all the facts are you here relaying other peoples thoughts?  

I think I know why.  Could it be because these other people know they can not argue the fact the WP has made all the wrong decissions.   That WP has not kept promises that they do nothing to help the sellers as far as promoting the site.  That you must fall in line and not ask any questions at WP.  That WP has lied about adding features to the site saying that they have team of enginers working on them.  When it has been proven that these features are in the software he is using already. That they keep taking away things such as the sales reports, newsletter, longer time for cc response but still want your 9.95 a month.  I could go on.  

Maybe you should let those people come here and express those thoughts themselves.  Like Rat said before I think your a lamb that has been sent to slaughter.   These other people you are expressing their thoughts for know they don't have much of a leg to stand on were WP is concerned.

As others had stated, more than 700+ stores have left WP.

There is no way anyone can say that many stores left due to others bashing WP. That is an enormous amount, and many have actually been banned, and cannot even shop at WP.

All those stores are of course NOT going to recommend that site to anyone. So that also decreases visitors.

If you walk into a brick and morter store to purchase something, if the sales person insulted you, threatened you, or was just rude to you, would you shop there again or recommend it?

If a customer is friendly or rude it doesn't really matter. It is how they are handled is what counts. A companies customer service speaks volumes.

I just wish all the sellers would take all that blind faith they have in Wagglepop and focus it on themselves.

This is very true.  CC should be able to handle all situations the good the bad and the ugly.  WP fails in this.  The solution is not to just keep hitting the delete key and banning sellers and buyers left and right.
