My question remains. What are they afraid of?? :blinkie:

Just a wild stab in the dark guess... the ones left (and active) have formed friendships. To leave, would mean siding with us - "the enemy". Consciously or unconsciously, I think the fear is of rejection by their "peers". WP isn't a business, it's one big, warm, fuzzy family. God forbid you run out on the family. (Ewww... I just had a visual of the Manson family).

I have to agree - I stayed as long as I did, even without any hope of real sales or a real site to sell from, because of the friendships I formed. I felt like a traitor in a way. In the long run though, those bonds weren't paying my bills for me (not even coming close!) so I had to do what I had to do for me and my businesses and I left (been doing much better since too!).
Some sellers who were still there when I left... I was heartbroken almost to leave them behind. But I see they've left as well.
Of all the sellers that are left there, the one I was concerned about (she really is a true business and just a real sweetheart of a person who wanted some place to sell her wares without the work involved of her own site and without eBay fees), had an empty store as of Sherrand's report yesterday - and I'm happy for that - she deserves more than what she was getting at WP.
But I think, as a business, you want to please everyone, and if that means staying at WP - some may choose to do so thinking the 10.00 per month isn't that much considering they're keeping customers there... and should they leave, they may lose those customers from spite.
This is going back a couple days but I'm going to say it as long as I'm here. I stay and read and comment here on the TT WP thread because it's fun. I LIKE the people here. I KNOW WP is a dead horse, I know it's just a matter of time now, I know there's not going to a successful end to WP anymore - I just don't believe there's a remote chance of that happening.
Knowing that WP is for all intent dead in the water is one thing - but, something inside me, maybe a warped something at that, but that something inside me wants to see the final poof of smoke when it goes. I don't devote a lot of my time to watching the site - or monitoring the sellers there --- never have really since I left --- but some little devilish thing in me wants to see that final poof anyway.
So yes, I may talk on about the dead horse - it may be over with under the smoke and mirrors that are going on - the owner of WP may be on to bigger and better scams... that's all good - I still want to see the poof.
