Update:
Store count Dec. 29, 2006: 506
Store count Dec. 29, 2007: 121 (only 3 showcase stores)
And what was the magical STEADY store count to reach the "next level" of marketing? 4000? Dream on, Ray! Enjoy your status as the biggest joke in the e-commerce world.
And Overpriced Floormat Guy's store count hasn't changed in months, nor does he show evidence of having ever sold a single floor mat on WP.

I think 4000 was the YEAR when the next level of marketing will begin, not the store count needed for it to begin.

Isn't that the year hell is supposed to freeze over?
I guess the eBay testing has come to an endÂ
Raytard finally closed it's eBay store. I wonder if the STR had any relevanceÂ
Let the Truth be Told
FYI: My new spyware software that I installed after my computer was hijacked and sending spam without my knowledge, has identified WP as a
BAD SITE with HIGH LEVEL degree of insecurity and capability of infections. BTW: It found Tulip Tools safe.

translation: he maxed out his credit cards paying for the net losses he suffered as an eBay seller.

He just found out he could make more money selling his list of "deadbeats" info to spammers. I had 17 spam emails at an AOL address I created solely for WP use when I was selling there just since 2008 began, and I have never registered anywhere else but WP with that email, no chat rooms, IM's, etc... I haven't been registered there in over 6 months, but still getting an ample flow of spam wanting me to find my true love, make millions with PPC services, and receive wire transfers from Romania.
At least Ray left his mark on the world of eBay before he left:

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
Best wishes to everyone for 2008!
Just because I had some time on my hands, I counted up a certain WPer's feedback as a seller since 1/1/07. (WP's biggest
cheerleader koolaid drinker).
33 Feedbacks. Even IF, let's say, only 10% of WP shoppers leave feedback... that's 330. Let's give the benefit of the doubt... only 5% leave feedback... a whopping 660 sales in the past year. All of the items I saw were less than $24.99 with the majority under $4.99. It would seem to me when you add in the subscription fee, FVF and time involved... you are taking a helluva loss. I just don't get it.
I noticed another "first-pager" has a closing message in their description. Interestingly enough, this is the link when you hover over the store name:
http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/Storeisclosed
Yet, clicking on the link takes you to all their listings. Weird. I thought you HAD to have a store?
I think DB hit the nail on the head. It's all about the monthly fees. Hell, I'd be happy to collect $1258.74 monthly for doing nothing. Even if monthly expenses ran 50%, it's still a decent gig. I think I want in. Ray -- have your people contact my people.
I'll shut up now.... was a little bored this morning ;D

Actually, I counted 31 FB's from buyers. But, also consider: if only 5% of transactions result in feedback left (as our head Koolaid drinker claims), that also means that only 5% of SELLERS left FB as well. Therefore, her 119 FB's from sellers is only 5% of her actual BUYS. Extending her feedback logic, she would have actually PURCHASED 2,300 items over the past year, offset by 620 sales. Even if WP were 100% free of store fees, FVFs and the rest, she would still be
spending 3-3/4 times what she makes OVER THE LAST YEAR, if the cost of each purchase were roughly equivalent to the cost of each sale. Many were more.
Further notice, that most sells were at the beginning of 2006, to sellers who have since blown the Koolaid stand.
Only 8 FBs from BUYERS Sept. 1, 2006 through Dec. 31 -- THAT'S THE HOLIDAY SEASON, FOLKS! During that time, she received 75 FBs from SELLERS --
9 TIMES MORE from other sellers than from her own buyers. AND SHE CALLS HERSELF A SELLER?
Purchases seem to be from 3 types of sellers: other cheerleaders; sellers threatening to leave (pity purchases); and sellers who've just come on board (encouragement purchases).
Bottom line: There is no way in hell little miss baby blanket could be making a penny on WP. If she says she is, she is FLAT-OUT LYING! Yep, I think she and Ray have much in common -- maybe more than we know.

ASPs on most off-eBay auction sites seem to be well under $10.00

edit: from PlunderHere's sold page:
Total items Sold in last 30 Days: 933 For a gross amount of: $3,935.59Â = average sale price is $4.22
Quote:I counted 31 FB's from buyers
In Wagglefeedbackland 31FBs is 31 items not 31 orders or 31 buyers
If Wagglepop counted feedback the same way that eBay does
this seller's rating would probably be 200 instead of 4500.
