We finally have the definition of "making a fortune" on Wagglepop and it's far, far below the Gold or Platinum Powerseller level that User assured us is possible for sellers after 1-2 years of selling on WP...in fact, it's far, far below even the level needed to qualify for Silver PS.

(the above quote was from the
Blujay forum on PSU :
)
Quote:Wagglepop is the best venue that I have ever found to make the most profits with the least amount of effort
That daily gross sales number proves there are far better choices than WP.
BTW:Â I believe that promoting WP 24/7 on countless boards would qualify as making a huge effort to get sales...you can get higher sales and profits elsewhere without having to spend so much time promoting someone else's site for them for free. Your time would be better spent promoting your business rather than Ray's--i.e. nix the idea to put WP stickers on your shipping labels and instead put stickers with your business name...nix the idea to make WP t-shirts and instead make t-shirts with your business name...and need I say, start your own website and make it the center of your selling universe and use venues as marketing channels for customer acquisition...use the venue, don't let it use you.
Well, TT-ers, I finally made the grade.
Not only does P.S. say I am in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's, but I have been officially proclaimed a "hateful, ignorant woman" for relating some of my personal observations on WP over at PSU.

Seems P.S has elevated my achievements to "cyber terrorist". I didn't know I was so powerful as to sway the entire on-line selling community away from the grand messiah of the auction venue world and the best eBay alternative since the creation of time.
Quote by P.S.
Quote:We have posters like Designers Bargains who are literally like cyber terrorists trying to instill fear in any seller who might consider selling on Wagglepop. Thousands of eBay sellers right now NEED an alternative, and that alternative DOES exist, but they are being denied accurate information by these 'cyber terrorists'.

Quote:If you'd had the patience the and the business sense to even stay on Wagglepop long enough for your URL to get indexed in the search engines, you'd now be selling far more out of your Wagglepop store than your eBay store
I don't know how much PS sold out of her eBay store, but I sell FAR more than $76.53/day on eBay. And after 2 years??? Wow... just wow.

Isn't that phrase an oxymoron? :twistedevil:

A comparison of the performance of the top sellers on eBay and 3 off-eBay venues
(comparison based on number of feedback the seller has received in the past 30 days):
Wagglepop (silver c): 159 <--seller moved from eBay in mid-2006
Amazon (caiman): 41,094 <--seller moved from eBay in mid-2006
eBay (accstation) 36,905
(comparison based on number of feedback the seller has received in the past 6 months):
Wagglepop (silver c): 1,549 <--seller moved from eBay in mid-2006Â (auction site opened 5/2006)
Bidtopia (bargainland): 85,138 <--seller moved from eBay in mid-2007 (auction site opened 7/2007)
eBay (accstation) 179,633
Based on those numbers, I believe Popper Rah Rah Squad's should be changed to
If you'd had the patience and lack of business sense to even stay on Wagglepop long enough you'd now be eating dog food out of a can and filing for bankruptcy
Hope this helps.Â
