Can I get a show of hands of all the paid "subcontractors" and "LieWorld contractors" that Ebay has sent over here to discourage peeps from finding alternatives?

I'm a Paid Feebay Employee With An Agenda not a lowly subcontractor.

I think the boinktard site owners are all undercover paid eBaY subcontractors.

The average eBay alternative auction site owner has a four word business plan:
Buy phpProBid Spam PSUÂ

The reply from the owner of 3 year old auctionsworldwide.net that finally broke 1,000 items for sale.
"Hi Bidbeaver, Nice to see you trying with your auction site.
Please my friend, dont be lulled into thinking you are responsible for getting buyers. You are not.
As a site owner your responsibility is to attract visitors to your site.. The selling of any listings is the responsibility of the seller, not you. But you can add googlebase to your site which will then list all your products listed where potential buyers can read and visit if interested.
Try to work closely with your sellers and promote your site by simply showing what kind of sellers you have.
But NEVER try to sell for your sellers, thats there job. Yours is to promote your site."
That's why Amazon and eBay never advertise to buyers!

It's a six word plan not four: buy phpprobid, add logo, spam PSU :twistedevil:

I won't sell on any venue that can't provide me with buyers and sales on my first day (and I refuse to do ANY promotion of my listings on any venue). There are venues out there like Amazon, Alibris, Play, eBay (gag), etc that can provide me with buyers today not in 18 months. Why put your sales on hold for 6-18 months hoping that someday buyers will come when there are channels that will provide you with buyers today?

I wouldn't link to eBaY feedback.

I agree with Maggie. A. eBay feedback is meaningless to a large number of non-auction buyers; B. you shouldn't link to a site (like eBay) where the buyers might do some exploring and find the item for less.
If you have a website go with the free ratings/reviews/surveys/and listings provided by BizRate or ResellerRatings. Integrating their surveys/rating forms into your shopping cart is a simple matter of copying and pasting a few lines of javascript. Web buyers are more likely to trust both site's ratings than they are a link to an anonymous feedback profile for user123 on an auction site.

I don't understand that line of thinking, either. Guess to some people warm fuzzies are more important than food. Go figure.
Another dillusional psychotic in need of a remedial reading comprehension class, senile old lady; hateful, spiteful jealous type; troll;, paid eBay informant; LieWold contractor; morally-bankrupt miscreant just posted on PSU.
Quote:Here's my experience with Wagglepop, touching on the original post on this thread...
I started selling (or should I say listing) on Wagglepop I think around May. Soon after I joined, the fee jumped from $9.99 / month to $29.99 / month. Up to that point, I made one sale totalling a whopping $11.99. I figured I'd give it one more month to see if traffic was going to pick up.
Nothing happened. No sales, no questions about my listings. Nothing.
After reading this thread and seeing what they were doing to try and squeeze fees out of the sellers when they canceled, I contacted them via email, asking when my current month was paid up until, as I wished to close my store. I was told I was paid up until the 28th of July. To be safe, I removed all of my listings on July 21st and sent an email notifying them to close my store and not bill me, as per their email.
A few weeks later, I received a notice that my account was past due and I owed them $29.99. I contacted them, and they said that I never received a cancellation notice from them, so my cancellation email wasn't valid!
I had an email conversation that went back and forth, forwarding him copies of all of the emails he sent me and that I sent him. It got nowhere.
Tonight I just received another delinquency notice from them, now stating that I owe $59.90!
If they would like the money, I will be happy to appear on Judge Judy if he'd like to go.
For all those who haven't tried Wagglepop, don't waste your time, effort or money.

What an ingrate! And there he was, sitting on a "gold mine" -- or was it a "land mine".Â
