Popper:Â
Quote:you heard it! If you are an Amazon shopper like me, we need to shop through the WP portal if at all possible.
From P.S.:

Another deluded Popper:
Quote:I'll DEFINITELY be doing my part to help.
ARE THESE PEOPLE INSANE? It's not enough that they pay dearly for the privilege of having no sales, no traffic, no promotion, crappy customer support, a totally non-functional invoicing system, heavy handed sensorship, the bare minimum of site features -- the list goes on and on. They now revel in the righteous obligation (lest they be called traitors and non-loyalists to the "cause") to do all their Amazon shopping via WP. WTF!! If King Boinktard asked them to give up their first born to the cause, they'd probably do that to.
If WP is not a cult, then the Earth is flat and the Moon made of green cheese.
This is just frickin' priceless!
I try to shop locally, but when I need to shop online, I get something back. I shop through MyPoints and BigCrumbs when possible. I should receive my $50.00 gas card from MyPoints this week...
I was going to say that the WP drones have swallowed the "Smarter" seller promo hook, line and sinker, but I guess they're doing so damn well over there that rebates and $25 - $50 gift cards to major dept stores, etc. wouldn't benefit their families enough to bother.
Essentially, Ray has used these people to help build SE rank w/ their items/descriptions. Now "their" customers get in the door and Ray's intent is to shuttle a considerable percentage to another merchant.
He's taking their money, their customers and a little change when they use his affiliate program...and all the free M&P they'll give him. And what about the WP'er that took a part-time job so she could keep her store 'cause her husband no longer want the expense of the subscription that doesn't have enough sales to pay for itself...
Insanity? Cult? I dunno'...dumb-ass pathetic works, too.
I was going to copy a "butt-kiss" by AndRay to the Koolaid-drugged Poopers supporting the Marketshare program, but my editing functions don't work with TT any more. You'll have to go see for yourself.
Edit: I can't cut 'n' paste, for whatever reason, but talk about "dumb-ass", I couldn't resist rewriting this comment from our favorite Pooper:
Quote:Those of us who sell on Amazon can now possibly make Amazon sales through Wagglepop Marketshare, earning Wagglepop commission in the process
Holy cultmember! Am I reading this right? P.S. is advising HER buyers that come to WP, to NOT buy her wares on WP, but to buy them on Amazon instead through WP Marketshare?
So, let's get this straight. P.S. is
PAYING $29.95/mo to stock her wares on WP, where she pays
NO commission should she have a sale, but hopes her buyers INSTEAD go to Amazon to buy her items, where she
DOES pay a commission on the sale (so she pays a monthly fee on one site AND a commission on the other, negating the advantage of both) -- all so Master Boinktard can get a penny or two Marketshare cut! And she calls ME psychotic and delusional?
Quote:02/04/09 - WP/AndRay:
"We are extremely pleased to see Marketshare via Amazon.com being so well received - we think it is the perfect compliment to the Wagglepop Marketplace and ensures shoppers can come to Wagglepop and fulfill their shopping lists through one or both solutions.
We certainly thank all existing Wagglepop membership for shopping on Amazon.com through Marketshare and hope that all members continue to do so - the affiliate revenues generated through that are quite appreciated and timely and go directly towards site operating expenses."
Operating what? He damn sure didn't put significant portions of past revenues into the site. Instead, he insisted that there wasn't enough for proper M&P - not enough inventory and not enough money. So what's the operating expenses the affiliate money will support? Operating his car? The electricity? His food budget? Oil for the hamster wheel? New bunny slippers?
Quote:02/04/09 - WP/member:
"Thanks for the update. I believe the strategy of incorporating marketshares is working. I've already noticed a dramatic change in traffic and sales. I was also quite surprised to find one of my listings in the Amazon inventory."
Quote:02/04/09 - WP/member maybe about to find a clue:
"Well, I'm unsure about that -- I understood that Amazon stuff would appear as a portal on the WP site, and I understood that this would provide revenue to WP and keep shoppers interested and happy about their WP experience, but I didn't understand that any of OUR stuff would show up on Amazon? Not that I wouldn't be thrilled to death, but I didn't understand that that could happen???
As for an increase in traffic so soon, that is also surprising."
Yes, P.S. calls you psychotic and delusional. I understand the reason. From her point of reference, everyone who has not hopped into the vat of kool-aid with the other 50 or so sellers is psychotic and delusional. Evidently, millions upon millions of successful sellers who don't subscribe to WP are missing an opportunity of a lifetime. If these successful sellers were to point out the obvious horsesh!t behind the backassward methods that are used for the WagglePop (I'm using the following term loosely) business model when she's insistent that new to the "alternatives" scene slug down the kool-aid or accept that they're too stupid to be in business in the first place, they too would be called psychotic and delusional.
I can't help but wonder if Ray has noticed that a faithful is slipping from his grasp. Her loyalty is being divided. By her statements, Ray and WagglePop are second rate. She is embracing AtomicMall...
Quote:...I recognized that it is a uniquely powerful site backed by an outstanding owner who is most definitely going to take it far. The site is impressive. The search engine exposure is extremely impressive. The owner's combination of intelligence, computer skills, problem-solving abilities, ecommerce insight, and hard-working dedication is unmatched in any other site that I have ever come across (and I've evaluated many)....

OH! THE HORROR!! WagglePop
is not the greatest site in the known universe!?!?!
Psychotic and delusional? By P.S.'s standards? It's a compliment considering her convoluted logic surrounding, among other things, the WagglePop Market Share program.

She pays Amazon:
$39.95 monthly ProMerchant subscription fee plus a final sales fee when an item sells. The
final sales fee is: 15% of the sale price +Â variable closing fee ($0.45 +$0.05 per lb).
If a buyer clicks through to her Amazon item from WP and buys a 5 lb $100 item, she'll pay Amazon $15.70 in FVF fees and Ray will make $4-$8.50 in
affiliate earnings.

Wait a minute! P.S. gives Boinktardio $29.95/mo AND Amazon $39.95/mo for a total of nearly $70 in store fees, yet wants her WP buyers to purchase her items via the WP Marketshare so she can pay another $15.70 to Amazon in commissions? So Ray can earn his Marketshare cut? That makes NO sense. She'd be better off just closing her WP store and saving herself $29.95/mo. Is she that much in love with Boinktardio and so Koolaid-drugged that she'd PAY to keep her WP store open solely to drive buyers to Amazon so she can then pay MORE in commission just so Boinktardio can get his kickback off of her commission?Â
Quote:We are tracking some extraordinary sell-through rates relative to new registrants and Marketshare activity has been likewise rather brisk.
Extraordinary? 1 seller had a 3% sell-through rate in January, a few were in the 1%-2.5% range and the rest were under 1%

Seriously, you know damn well it's no longer about making money. If it were, they'd have been gone a long time ago when WP went to the $29.95 fee.
It's all about desperation now and not giving in to what other sellers keep telling them over and over. If those WP sellers give up now, they have to face that they've pissed away a lot of money for WP with no return. As long as they hang on to hope (how patheticly little it may be), maybe their miracle will happen and WP will turn around.
She was so damn excited about the free stores to....lmao

Yep. All about pride and blind devotion to King Boinktardeo, no matter what it costs.Â

Some people have invested so much time and effort on the behalf of another person's business that the agenda has become to rally people to support their investment; not just money but incredible amounts of time and energy, too.

regic...what I'm reading here is that Ray is a low-dollar pimp. He's got these people paying their own room and board and some money offa' the top of their income elsewhere, too.
More than two years and over 900 members later the best he can come up w/ for WPII is an affiliate program. A normal person would be embarrassed.
