Even the WP Power Sellers Unite master is tossing his pompoms with less enthusiasm, as are some other current and past cheerleaders who are afraid to say anything on the WP boards due to the "Zero Tolerance" policy. The general feeling among many of the posters to this new forum (as I interpret it), is that WP right now is a very boring place to be -- the shine is dulling from Eve's apple.

The censorship by Karen was a fatal mistake. The posts that painted WP in a unflattering manner may have cost a them a few stores, but it would also give the cheerleaders a chance to rally in support of WP. Instead WP is losing the forum community feel that kept many sellers there despite having slow sales.Â

I couldn't agree more. Resorting to this type of control indicates major internal issues, and creates resentment among the ranks, which is why I ended my last post with:
The fact that CURRENT as well as X-poppers are having to create a separate, undergound forum AT ALL to discuss issues relating to their businesses indicates real cracks in the foundation of the company they represent. Any time a regime, business, organization, country has to build walls (be they brick and mortar, ideological, or built through threats and intimidation), to keep its members from ESCAPING, it's only a matter of time before the gates are stormed. While die-hard cheerleaders are still spamming Auctiva and poo-pooing TT for being a bunch of "biased" rebel-rousers whose intent is to "get back" at WP through put-downs and insults as a strategy to pursuade members to purchase TT's services, others are lurking TT, and reading the thread, which can only serve to discredit the cheerleaders.Â
The clock is ticking. If eBay chooses NOT to institute another fee hike after the first of the year, WP will surely boil down to a drained, listless, residue of cheerleaders who hang on simply because they have been baked into the amalgom of the pot.
