Thought all would like to see this comment on the eBay thread "Ebay Versus the Other Guys."
Quote:I had a lot of problems accessing WP, and I'm on cable, but they suddenly cleared up in early September.
I tried buying a few things, but I'm not too impressed with the sellers. Slow shipping, cigarette stink, lack of communication, missing items. Yes that happens on ebay, but on WP most of the transactions have been poor rather than some. I only found two good sellers, one I'm buying from her website, now and the other hasn't listed anything new in months.
Alskling,
Quote:We do need a basic "Abridged Guide to the Pseudo E-Commerce Site of WP: a Cult Study in Lies, Deception, Seduction and Greed." I'd do it if I had the time, but I don't. I think Truth has the right idea by putting together the X-Pop Nation site, but it's not a cohesive, readable thread. Any ideas?
I sent you a PM about this. Take a look at my suggestion I think we can make it work!
let the truth be told

I really don't think sellers who smoke heavily realize how much their products and packing material smell. It really affects the perceived value of the products. This is a problem on ebay also.
thanks for the link to Otwa. I'm very surprised at Ray's childish notion. But thanks for giving me something else to read all day lol.
I posted on PSU in my WP thread about my banning. :turkey2:
If I had it all to do over again, I would not choose wagglepop because:
1. Â There are no buyers
2. Â The sellers are extremely rude to the buyers they do get
3. Â Valid business questions are never allowed
4. Â Censorship
5. Â The clique-like mentality. Â If you're not one of the "in" crowd, you don't matter. Â Enough of that in high school
6. Â The blatant lies told by "management"
7. Â It's a cult

I really hate anything intended or not intended to odorize a package. Â I got a lovely package from a seller on WP (who is a friend, I think lol so no ill feelings) of some clothing items and shipping supplies. Â Attached to the packing slip was a quarter of a dryer sheet. Â And I hated the scent and because it was mixed with bubble mailers it made the bubble mailers smell HORRIBLE. Â So I keep a dryer sheet in the bin where the items are stored and that's it.

A dryer sheet? I never thought about that, but I guess that would make everything smell a bit chemically.
WOW. I just clicked on the Pop Land home page and was shocked at what I saw. The number of listings is now:
156,847
It will be interesting to see the spin that is put on this to explain the drop.
what what make me rethink going to wagglepoop.
1) how hard it is for buyers to get to items to buy. Have to join to even look at items. Search is past being broken. I had several people try to look at my stuff (who knew how to find things) that could not do it. I had a few sells, maybe enough to pay fees but not cover cost of items.
2) very clickish....once you read the boards you know who is in and who is out.
3)control and deleting of post..
4) paying for something that could be free on better and more well known sites
5)personally I had problems with Customer noncare answering my questions unless I asked on boards... and then they talked down to me.
6)lack of promises kept . lack of advertising and upgrades
7)mind control....they make you feel bad if you want to leave, and if you do leave you are cut off from site. This is bad for sellers that reamain.. The ex sellers cant buy anymore.
