Ill (soon to be Well, Healthy, Happy, and Whole)Â
I saw the Tazbar commercial on youtube, it is very clever. Alskling your items could probably do very well in the UK, as you carry many european brands. I wish lady, ORUS,hollaback good luck with the new venture.
So what happens when sellers are not allowed to talk about business on their own Store Owners' forums?
You end up with two of the first 4 threads being "prayer" threads, 1 being cyber coffee with pretend donuts and the last being the lame attempt at self-promotion called "share you wares", which is the shortest of them all.
NOw, if I were a prospective seller looking for a place to set up a store, I would want to see business issues on the STORE forum being discussed. Oh, silly me.
Ill! Glad to hear you're getting out of Popland - you'll be feeling better very soon

Here is a great link for online free classes through the SBA (small business administration), including writing a business plan, and scroll down on the right hand side there is a category for e-commerce.

It is rather pathetic over there lately. I used to be able to count on it for a good laugh or two. I also noticed that the "I'm gettin' the hell outta Dodge" thread is NOT being used. Big shock there. I still don't think any answer was given regarding the last 2 weeks sales' statistics. There probably isn't anything to report. Funny how KaRay is so quick to answer all other KoolAid laden requests in record time but remains ominously silent regarding this one. Huh... I wonder whyÂ

Hello Members,
Just stopping by at the Breakfast Club for a quick hello as I head into the morning session.
We continue to offer a wide variety of items and products sitewide and are attracting new buyers through search engines daily, so be sure to have all of your selling optimizations configured, particularly the tools in BusinessBuilder.
Buy More Now with DynamicDiscounts has consistently been turning single purchases into orders of multiple items, so if you're not using BMN, be sure to enable it and create good targeted rules in your Merchadising Manager
Karen - WP Customer Care
Seems like Karen needs to regroup her dynamic responses. Likely she will be in the "morning session" until negativity breaks out on the boards or another seller says they are leaving. Once again, Karen tells sellers they are not doing a good job of running their businesses and they need to do more more more. Notice the pom pom waving is disturbingly quiet these days.

Alasking, I don't know if either of the sports card sellers are the following individuals, but regic posted the info quoted below in this thread last month.
Ray is really, really interested in making things look much better than they are. If he can pull $10.00 a month from unsuspecting sellers, and convince newbies to bring their friends along, he'll generate a steady income. OnlineAuction has done this for 2 yrs now. Their cheerleaders are as spellbound as WP's.
Reading about WP community values and integrity was almost shocking after the way he treated members the first time around. Lies. All lies.

Translation: Ray does not support flipping the switch on this feature at this time, as this would mess up the "fudge" feedback system he has already in place which allows sellers to buy feedback from each other and rack up feedback for multiple "sales" to the same buyer. He also does not support asking bona fide business questions, having search of completed items, advertising or just about any other feature associated with a real business.

I hate real coffee & donuts. I can't imagine snacking on imaginary coffee & donuts while the "share your wares" posts shrink into imaginary sales.
