Quote:PRINCESS: It's right there in the fine print that PM's are monitored for compliance. Why else would it be there if they don't do it? It is also true that some sellers claim to have had their PM's deleted from their boxes for "non-compliance." What does that say to you?
Aside from the obvious fascism of peeking into "private" messages... it sounds like someone's lying. Or not clear on their lies. Or not on the same page.Â
1.) PMs are monitored for compliance --taken from the fine print
2.) KaRay claims no PMs get monitored.
Ermm... someone doesn't have their "facts" straight. Phpmyadmin, baby. Even *I* know how to use that to retrieve unencrypted data. I'm sure "high tech" auction site owners must also know.

Hi all, and Happy New Year!
I just want to reply to a couple of things I read that have been posted in the past couple of days... and some things from way back that were triggered by these posts.
Re YOHB's post with the link to Uncle Joe's Tradin' Post... That is (AFAIK) a legitimate business that has a store on eBay as well as on WP. They purchased a $99 custom logo/template package from me, and it's the logo I created that is showing in their store on WP. I can't say whether they have any connection or affiliation with WP, but their address was confirmed with their PP payment and it wasn't in New York. Why they only have one item in their WP store, I don't know, but I sure don't think it's a WP dummy store.

Hi Terry!Â
I don't doubt for a minute that Uncle Joe's is legitimate. What I am questioning is KaRay's possible use (or abuse) of the storefront. The item number for the current listing is 256803. That number were utilized back in the summer. However this store didn't show any item in it on December 4th when I took a snapshot of the active ones. So where has it been until a few days ago? :o[/quote]
I'm the one who hypothesized that the one-item store may be a dummy store. Any one-item store that seems to stay open for months and months could well be the result of a forgotten store, a glitch in the system (making the store reappear after the owner thinks it's closed), or a Ray/family/friend tester or dummy storefront.
I have no idea who Joe is, or anything about his reputation. If he's a real business, then I imagine he either wants a placeholder for his name and is willing to keep one item in the store, or he's already closed it and the system (or Ray) is allowing it to pop back up--and Joe doesn't even know about it.
I *do* know that Ray has several IDs on WP (and eBay), and likely his brother or other friends do as well (the core stores that always get bigger when the stores number total drops; new items added to keep the item count up). Therefore, it's suspicious when there are stores that sit with one or two items in them.

Quote:Another glitch with multiple-quantity listings was that the buyer was listed in error as the seller, and the seller as the buyer. This was pointed out by me to WP in an Email dated October 1st, and I was told it was related to the testing of the upgraded feedback system.
Princess, wasn't it you who got the gobbdegook from "Karen" about the system "not supporting transfer of Feedback" when we all know it's a function of Rscript and Ray shows his eBay feedback on WP in his own WP test store?
Who among you here trusts the word of "Karen" on anything? Do I hear silence?

Alskling as you know all too well this is the biggest most obvious problem with WP. People can put up with alot of stuff, glitches, features they wish were available, and even slow to moderate sales, IF and I mean IF you can trust the site. In order to trust the site you have to trust the "man behind the curtain or woman(Karen) in this case. He has proven himself time and time again to be neither trustworthy or honest.
WP=Ray
Ray= unethical
This is a deal breaker. Hell he hasn't even put his own name anywhere on his site.Â
The first red flag for me at PopLand was when serious business questions weren't answered. When business questions are asked, a real business site will answer any and all questions with straight forward answers, not a bunch ofÂ
Then when posts started getting deleted, that was my official wake up call and my research began. I'm glad I didn't open a store when I first signed up at PopLand. Paying attention to my gut feeling that told me to wait for a while was exactly right this time.
What I am reading that is going on there now makes me sick. I hate to see hard working people get taken advantage of. I'm waiting for Toto to expose the person behind the curtain and for ALL poppers to see what is really going on there.

To PowerSeller if you still have the gall to lurk:
Quote:Hi xxxxxx,
Terry left and has a store at 'E' right now. It's not my place to say why especially since I don't have firsthand knowledge, but I really hope that she comes back soon. Even if she doesn't have a store and just puts up a couple of listings for custom stuff or whatever, it would be great to have her back as part of the community again. I know we have some business for her too.
(Terry, can you hear me? We miss you!)

Additional post further down the thread from the same poster we know as PowerSeller:
Quote:A certain 'other Wagglepopper' that sold templates and logos left right after Terry did (and suspected that she may have been related to Terry's decision to leave).
You had it right the first time.
It's NOT your place to say and you do NOT have firsthand knowledge. So
ZIP IT!!!

It is greatly appreciated that Terry has posted on TT and told her point of view. Terry you are a person of high integrity.
That said here is my big beef with miss PS. I love the way she insinuates accusations against a former popper, and posts these suspicions on a forum where the accused person cannot respond or defend herself.
Hey PS why didn't you accuse her here on TT? At least that way she could have responded to your suspicions. Oh wait that is probably exactly why you didn't put it here. If the accused had been able to post a response on WP, you were guaranteed that her replies would have been deleted.Â

Edited because the computer went crazy:Â From my understanding of the thread (and I did get to read it for five seconds before RAY figured me out lol even tho his excuse was wrong!) she wasn't actually trying to make me look bad.
WP Store count = 587
