Tonight it is called my bed.
:blinkie:
All you sick people... thanks.. I've got it now.
I guess no kickboxing class for me. But I'm still draggin my happy butt to house hunting because I've got to get out of here!Â
We drink pop and we have couches, but my gramparents call them sofas and one calls it a davenport. We eat dinner at night, lunch in the midday, and breakfast in the morning. I wash my clothes or do the laundry. We eat gyros (pronounced year-oh-s in Michigan but in Ohio they call them jai-roh-s for some reason.)
Back to it
I think I am dying from this cold... as a precautionary measure, I have written my will.
LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF PLATZKI
I Platzki, being of sound mind (kinda)... do herby bequeath my most physical posessions in the following order.
To SweetGirl I leave my entire collection of John Denver 8 track tapes. Never again will she listen to Rocky Mountain High and not think of her loving Platzki.
To Chiquita I leave all of my left shoes.
To Princessmiranda Jo I leave all of my right shoes. (You guys really need to get together).
To Racedream I leave my beloved collection of Penn Maid Collectible Sour Cream Glasses of assorted shapes and sizes.
To Youroverheadbin I leave my much loved collection of "build Your Own Bomb Casings" Magazine of the month club subscription and current and back issues.
To RiverRat I leave my entire business card collection of dentists offices thruout the greater metropolitan area.
To FineThings I leave a picture of my sofa, er, I mean my couch... damn... I meant to say davenport.
To Alskling I leave my leftover prescriptions of Xanax to be used whenever Angel posts on the TT forums.
To Amy, Regic, Thentavious, Truth and everyone else... Take what you want... after all... I can't take it with me!!!
Signed,
Platzki

You have saved the world from Poopland and will get all your stuff back!!!
thanks Platzki!
I think it's this weird weather we are all having. EveryoneÂ
drink some whiskey,Â
get some rest on your :couch:, andÂ
get well soon!
I'm fascinated by regional dialects and slang.
In California, it's soda or coke. "Pop" is considered an old-fashioned word and people snicker at it. It seems to be the same thing here in New Mexico. In high school, I would've gotten my a$$ kicked or picked on for saying I needed a "pop." lol.
The people I've met from Texas, over the age of 50, all call it "pop," though.
In California & New Mexico, it's a couch. Breakfast = morning, lunch = midday, dinner = night. Once again, people I've known from Texas seem to call dinner supper.
And the guys from the mediterranean who ran Ken's Cafe in Berkeley, CA and the Khyber Pass Restaurant say it's called a Gee-rohs (with a heavy g sound, like in goat, and a hard "r") where they come from, so I'm guessing they must be correct.
I've heard people call them "gyros" (Like a gyroscope), heee-roes, etc. I pronounce it the way the Greek and Egyptian guys taught me. LOL! Ok,
I've also noticed people from Texas and the midwest call lightbulbs "globes."
