Quote:All he has to do is outbid eBay for the keyword.
That could be costly because it's a highly sought after keyword. I'm sure eBay is paying at least $5.00 per click.

Talk about a double standard!!! One popper is concerned:
Quote:Has anyone else noticed that sponsored links with the wagglepop name are showing up on google? Problem is they are linked to Ebay! Is Ebay doing this? Wouldn't that be trademark infringement?
After dumping loads ofÂ
all over the eBay boards and selling their items on the bay with ACTIVE links to WP, they have the nerve to question this?!?!?!?
I don't know if this particular seller has done so, I just thought this particular question was pretty stupid considering the massiveÂ
campaign poppers have been carrying on since the beginning of WP2, with KaRay's blessing.
[/quote]
And the dynamic reply:
Quote:eBay uses an automated script to target keywords that they find as popular or related to their business or items and products. It seems that the software finds "Wagglepop" to be a keyword worth targeting
Trademark or copyright infringement would relate not to this dynamic, but to use of our trademark or copyrighted materials to directly or indirectly profit from or comparatively falsely disparage.
On the Google results page, we are organically displayed in the number one slot, while the eBay ad is displayed in the paid inclusion area.
Juat a little good old fashioned competition
Ugh - first of all, PULeez stop using that f*cking word dynamic. I swear she has a daily quota for its use.
Second, "a keyword worth targeting" and "good old fashioned competition". That would imply that eBay actually views WP as competition. Hate to burst your Kool-Aid bubble Poppers, but you're not even a blip on the radar.

Now there is a keyword Ray may be able to afford,
organic or
organically on the other hand sorry Ray those are out of your league!!!

Nothing new:

I was just on another forum I belong to, and the girls are mentioning that when you google wagglepop, the original article about it being closed is showing up. They are very concerned that this is not good for business. How do we get that replaced in searches with a "good" article about wp? Thoughts?

(XXX),
I wouldn't worry much about that at all.
If anything, I think it reflects on the level of dedication needed to build a site like Wagglepop, and smart buyers and sellers already recognize the difficulties involved instinctively.
As more and more of our site pages get indexed and ranked, older pages will gently fade away, like leaves in the wind

The "Stick a Fork" article, to which the Popper refers, is still fourth from the top on page one of Google search.
The Wagglepop link to eBay has been on Google for as long as I can remember, and its presence has been commented on by various Poppers in the past. As long as some Popper has the word Wagglepop in his/her eBay listing or a link to WP from the listing (the same offenders show up every time you do a WP search in listing and description on eBay), I suspect the Google search will continue to bring up WP on eBay. Hi from England!
317 WOW! I guess the poppers don't have to hold contests to list so they jump to the next page in store ranking, like from 5 to 4. They are getting there by attrition.Â

From what I can see the listing contests have become
Delisting contests. The prize is your freedom to speak your mind and truely sell your products to real buyers.
There are sellers on most pages delisting right now and many more who will be before the end of the month.
Edited to add: Everytime that store count drops we have another winner!!!
