Hello Members,
Currently, a portion of the network at an upstream service provider is having some network-related access issues.
They are actively working to restore access to the data center as normal.
For calendar year 2006, we had an uptime record of 99.954%, but unfortunately there is no way to have absolute 100% uptime on a site dynamic as Wagglepop.
We have not received a specific timetable for restoration, but we expect that access will be restored sometime during the afternoon

Hello Members,
As a company we have gone to great lengths and great expense to provide an infrastructure that provides maximum uptime, dedicated aggressive backups, and outstanding overall performance.
That being said, there are always going to be outside factors such as network bottlenecks or outages that are out of our control which affect access to the data center.
We have been assured that the issue is being actively resolved upstream.

Sounds a bit defensive don't you think?
Ill, Regic, Amy, BBH or someone from the group of moderators could best answer your question. I don't buy KaRay's excuse. I seem to remember a similar incident in the past where the 'server down the line' was blamed and Regic (I think) debunked that explanation. But my memory does not serve me as well as it used to.Â
Edited to add: Proof the feathers are ruffled; no smilie!
And to make it perfectly clear, CC1 started a new thread with a copy/paste of the post that Ill quoted.
So I'm DE-listing my items, cuz today is freedom day for me, I refresh the page and I get booted out and can't get back on!
What a sorry sorry mess!

Today's Wagglepop outage was weather related. The extreme heat in New York today (64 degrees) melted the equipment at their upstream network provider. :twistedevil:
The whole upstream excuse is BS... my IT Manager, Microsoft Engineering hubby says its a load of wombat poo poo... there are sub servers set up to ... blah...blah... blah... (whatever... he speaks computer-ese...)... LOLÂ In English... Ka/Ray is aÂ
And someone PLEEEZE help out the poor popper who wants an "explination" on why the site is down and she can't get "sells"...Â
doh... I'm alright... just threw up in my mouth a little bit...

Hello Members,
As
a company complete morons, we have gone to
great no lengths and
great even less expense to provide
an infrastructure the cheapest site possible that provides maximum uptime with no sales,
dedicated aggressive no backups, and
outstanding generally poor overall performance.
That being said, there are always going to be outside factors such as
network bottlenecks running out of Koolaid or
outages rips in our fuzzy pink slippers that are out of our control which affect access to
the data center our lame site.
We have
been assured that no idea what is going on and we're just giving you a stupid excuse that the issue is being actively resolved upstream.

Can't KaRay ever tell the truth??????????
Just say it!
THE HAMSTER CROAKED! Yes, Poppers are all animal-lovers, and they might be saddened by the news, but they'll get over it. Didn't KaRay learn his/her lesson a few weeks back? You need a back-up hamster.
So, while Karen is out shopping for a backup hamster, maybe administration can get the "tech team" (i.e. Ray's cat) to start working on FIXING THE DAMN INVOICE ISSUE!!! Â
