The U.S. Department of Commerce is out with its report on first quarter 2006 ecommerce sales.

The figures show 2006 Q1 ecommerce sales jumped 25.4% from Q1 2005, however the figures show Q1 2006 ecommerce sales fell 9.4% sequentially from Q4 2005. Last year, Q1 2005 sales showed a 7% sequential rise from Q4 2004.
