Dear Amazon.com Sellers,

Amazon.com is pleased to announce a new beta feature available to Pro Merchants—a new version of Amazon.com’s Bookloader.  Our new Bookloader should make it easier for Amazon.com sellers to create multiple Books pages in the Amazon.com catalog.

This new version of the Bookloader will enable sellers to submit Bookloader uploads to our system as usual, but files will be processed in a new way.  This version creates book pages directly in the Amazon catalog and displays the seller's listing in Marketplace and in their zShop automatically.

The process of creating a file for the Bookloader will not change, and Bookloader files can be submitted in either Standard Book or UIEE format.  The file will simply be submitted through a new processing system, and the file will be processed to create pages in addition to listings.  More information on creating Bookloader files is available here.

This new feature is being released as a Beta. During this Beta phase, we'll be testing different features to ensure Amazon.com provides the best possible experience for Marketplace sellers. Even though this feature is in Beta, everything works, so if you are a Pro Merchant, feel free to create product detail pages using the new Bookloader.

It’s important to note that this new tool determines whether to create a page based on the accuracy and completeness of the data in a seller’s file.  In cases where incomplete or inaccurate data is submitted, a page may not be created, and you will likely receive an error.  This is normal for this type of upload processing, and the problem can generally be avoided by providing the most accurate and complete data possible when submitting a file.

Feedback is strongly encouraged during this initial testing period. If you don't need a reply, feel free to send your comments to bulk-listing-feedback@amazon.com. If you receive an error message, please contact Seller Support and provide the following information:

    * The exact text of the error message you received.
    * The steps you took before seeing the error message.
    * Any other documentation (e.g., copy of source code for the error message, the URL for the page where the error occurred, etc.).

You can contact Seller Support by going to the URL below and clicking the “I have a question that’s not listed above” link:

http://www.amazon.com/sellers/contact-us

We will continue to provide updates about this new tool during this Beta phase.

Note: This feature is currently only available for creating pages in our Books store, and is only available to Pro Merchant subscribers.

Thank you for selling with Amazon.com.

Dear Amazon.com Sellers,

As you know, we recently announced a new beta tool which allows sellers to upload book detail pages in bulk.  Our previous announcement is available here:

http://www.amazonsellercommunity.com/for...dID=117822

Next week, this new version of the Bookloader will replace the current Bookloader as the default.  This means that, when you access the Bookloader through the "Upload multiple items" link, your file will be processed to create listings and pages rather than only listings.

You will still be able to access the old version of the Bookloader for the next several weeks, until we complete the testing period for the new Bookloader tool.  After beta testing is complete, the new Bookloader will replace the old version...

Update:

Quote:Dear Amazon.com Sellers,

As you know, we recently launched the Beta version of the new Bookloader, which makes it easier for sellers to list books in the Amazon.com catalog. We want to thank you for using this Beta version and providing your feedback. We also would like to give you an update regarding the improvements we have made to this tool as a result of your feedback.

The Bookloader inventory loading tool allows sellers to submit a text tab delimited or UIEE inventory file to Amazon.com. The Bookloader then attempts to match the items in the file to items in the Amazon.com catalog so that listings can be created.

In previous versions of Bookloader, books that could not be matched to items in the Amazon.com catalog were added to the seller’s zShop only; these listings were not visible in Amazon Marketplace. As noted in our previous announcement regarding this new tool, the new version of Bookloader uses new matching technology to match items listed in a seller’s Bookloader file to books in the Amazon.com catalog. When a match is found, a listing is created; when a match is not found, a page is created and a listing is automatically created against the page. The listing is displayed in Amazon Marketplace and in zShops automatically.

Progress of the Beta Bookloader

Since the launch of the Beta Bookloader, we have gathered valuable feedback from our sellers, and we have made substantial improvements to the tool. Most notably, we fixed a technical issue leading to a “Multiple Matches” error when a seller submitted an ASIN or ISBN in their file.

Try it today!

We are confident that the latest Beta version of the new Bookloader represents a significant value to sellers. The new Bookloader allows sellers to:
1. Increase listing exposure to buyers by listing items in Amazon Marketplace.
2. Create a detail page for a Books item and list against that page in one easy step.
3. Better match items in Bookloader files to items already listed in the Amazon.com catalog.

We've made significant improvements in our matching technology, and we believe that you will be happy with the results.
