To balance the removal of the closing fee, we will increase the Amazon Payments fee. The new Payments fee will be $0.25 plus 5% of the total amount of the purchase (item price and shipping costs). The Payments fee is not charged until a transaction is paid for using Amazon Payments. Additionally, the fee is refunded automatically when a full refund is submitted using the Amazon Payments system.

We hope this change will make it easier for sellers to handle incomplete Auctions and zShops transactions in the future.

Sooo, for zShop and Auction items under $25:
old (closing fees +Payments fees): $0.25 + 7.5%
new: $0.25 + 5%

zShops and Auctions $25-$1000:
old: $1.50 + 5%
new: $0.25 + 5%

I can live with that.
