Quote:The Pepperjam Comparison Shopping Blog embraces our dynamic e-commerce tradition and is powered by the most cutting-edge tools available, including applications such as AJAX and Python, which afford an integrated e-commerce, search, and blogging experience. Imagine that - the ability to shop and blog (SHOG) within the same user experience - it's never been done before and Pepperjam is proud to have pioneered the technology that allows you, the user, to experience the ultimate in shopping and blogging!

What does it mean to SHOG?

Shopping + Blogging = Shogging, it's that simple!

Pepperjam's "Shogging" technology unifies two of the internet's most popular activities: shopping and blogging. Shogging on Pepperjam is different than anything you've ever experienced before because the experience is unified and integrated. Unlike a typical comparison engine experience where your shopping and reviewing (now that's outdated, isn't it!) are done separately, on separate pages, and in some cases, different websites, the Pepperjam Comparison Shopping Blog allows you to comparison shop (millions of products / thousands of merchants), read and write blogs, and never leave your unique, individual shopping experience. Isn't technology great! We think so.

By the way, Blogging is not only for "experts." In fact, anyone and everyone should blog - that's why we make it so easy.

Well, I guess *shogging* is better than *blopping*....

:Smile
New, innovative, NOT!

Using trendy Web 2.0 technologies--blogs on pepperjam and wikis on shopwiki--is a gimmick.  All either site is really offering are customer reviews which have been around for a decade.
Fixing the AJAX/Javascript errors on the "blogs" would be a positive Smile

Whether you write a review on a web page, a forum, or a blog it's still a friggin' review. Sleepy1

Now I'm off to work on my own innovative shopping comparison engine: UpsideDownCompare...yep, you guessed it, in order to view the pages and write reviews you will have to stand on your head.  A truly revolutionary idea in comparison shopping! UpsideDown review writing has never been done before and I'm proud to be the first one to bring it to market!  I think my idea will be a big hit, don't you?  :twistedevil:

You'll be wearing a skirt... right?  :Smile

There are too too many comparison engines.  For what it's worth, my store had a better week than Pepper according to Alexa. Smile
