Imagine you are starving to death, so you order a corn dog. (As an aside, we eat a lot of corn dogs in Indianapolis, the fattest city in the fattest state in the fattest nation in the world!) Anyway, they give you a stale corn dog, but you have to eat it because it's the last one and you're starving to death. That's crap on a stick!

In the computer/Internet, eBay is crap on a stick because it's a force-fed, substandard auction site. Unfortunately, there are almost no alternatives. MS Access is crap on a stick, but I have to study and understand it since so many business "geniuses" ignorantly insist on using it. Internet Explorer, FrontPage, and MarketWorks... Yup, all are craps on sticks!

What else? And why? And what can we do about it?

[/quote]Linux is good, but there are too many flavors. I hate RPMs, but maybe they're not really crap on a stick. I hate circular dependencies.
