You spoke - Canada Post listened.

I want to share some good news with you!

Effective immediately and until further notice, the Letter-post price will be applied to all shipments weighing up to 500 grams and falling within the maximum acceptable dimensions for Letter-post (380mm X 270mm X 20mm).

Our outlets are being informed – now.

Canada Post values your business and your success is our success. Canada Post is committed to providing you with quality products that meet your needs. In fact, new shipping solutions to better serve you are currently under review. I’ll keep you posted on developments.

P.S. Due to tight time constraints in notifying all of CPC’s 7,000 postal outlets about the good news, can you kindly bring along a copy of this posting to your outlet with your next mailing.

Yes and when some people did just that most were not believed because anyone could type that up as it wasn't on official Canada Post letterhead and one postal clerk laughed at the seller bringing it in - not at the seller but at the pathetic unprofessionalism by Canada Post.

Oddly enough there still is no announcement on the Canada Post newrooms page and they still haven't updated their Postal Guide as it still says in the letterpost section paper only:

Only paper enclosures which meet the requirements for U.S.A. and International Letter-post are acceptable.

But still it's great news that so many complained and Canada Post actually didn't follow through....for now.
