We are pleased to announce a one-day promotion for www.ebay.com, www.ebay.ca and www.ebaymotors.com (for Parts and Accessories listings only). Insertion fees for Auction-style listings will be 50% Off, and capped at 50�! This means that the absolute maximum you will pay will be 50�, regardless of your starting price.

The promotion starts on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at 00:00:01 PT (12:00 AM plus one second) and ends that same day, Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at 23:59:59 PT (11:59 PM plus 59 seconds). Listings which were created prior to August 1, 2006 and scheduled to start during the promotional period will also be eligible for the special promotional rate.

The 50% Off Auction-Style Listings Promotion will not apply to eBay Motors vehicles listings, or to International, Live Auction, Professional Services, Real Estate/Ad Format, and Store Inventory listings. Also, the following Business & Industrial categories are excluded from this promotion: tractors & farm machinery (category #91952), heavy equipment (25249), concession trailers, carts (67145), imaging and aesthetics equipment (92035), forklifts and other lifts (97185), manufacturing equipment (92080), metalworking equipment (92082), and commercial printing presses (26247).

What Are the Fees? Insertion fees for Auction-style listings on eBay.ca will be revised by 50% to a maximum of 50 cents. The reduced fees will be immediately reflected on the site. This includes listings created prior to the promotion and scheduled to start during the promotional period of August 1, 2006.

Who is Included? All users who list eligible items on eBay.ca will be eligible for the promotion. Items re-listed that match the above eligibility will qualify for the promotion.

What is excluded? Items listed in Fixed Price, Motors vehicles, Real Estate Ad Format, Store Inventory Format and Business and Industrial Capital Equipment listings will not be included in this promotion.

The promotional rate does not apply to listings that begin before the promotional period, but are revised during the promotional period to meet eligibility. The promotional rate also does not apply to listings created during the promotion on August 1, 2006, but scheduled to start after the promotion ends.

Regic, where are you getting the counts?

The Pied Piper of Prattle (thanks, Sneaky Big Grin) is posting on the sb stating that the counts are incorrect on Medved and ebay.

Would love to tell them otherwise. ;D
PSU is now showing a gain of 976,000 listing to 13.2 million.  Medved hasn't updated since 3 am.  Listings climbed to 17 million during the sale 2 weeks ago.
