My stores board post will probably get pulled so

Quote:I am not boycotting auctions all week long

Umm Joyce, not be be rude or anything but the store on your selling ID levillageshop is completely empty and a quick search shows it has been empty for months..in fact the last feedback you received from a buyer on your selling ID levillageshop was on June 6th.

...not boycotting auctions and yet hasn't sold anything on her selling ID in months and hasn't bought anything in the past month on either ID.  Umm eBay, if you're going to send out the Voices/eBay University instructors to announce they're not boycotting you might want to think about sending out someone who is actually selling and buying on eBay.  :Smile :Smile :Smile

Also in the same thread, the poster in the quote below was the same person who showed up on the SB right after the fee hike and called everyone else's widgets "junk". Credible source, right.  :asshat2::

I agree with the OP, customers read this board as well as sellers, and boy you some of you guys come off as scary, are you not tired of venting? If you owned a rental store they could raise your rent by any amount they wanted any time they wanted, why is ebay so different, could you please try to work with it?

PS I had a store and closed no big deal I will work with the auction's.

Btw, she has since removed some of her more vitriolic posts! Big Grin

Well, I'm not boycotting because I personally think it is self-defeating.

Are "Voices" allowed to boycott? :o

No they are only allowed to suck up to Bill Meg and Chrit T.  ;D

And they do it so well.  Laughing7
It just cracks me up how she posts that people spending time on the message boards are stupid, how it's all a waste of time ...... plus every last post mentions how she's off to bed, or some other exciting adventure like perhaps a walk.    What a twit.
Are "Voices" allowed to boycott?

They could if they wanted too.

Convention wisdom seems to think most "Voices" members are kool-aid drinking sheeple...and it's true, 'some' are...but the fact is, the vast majority are intellegent, independent thinking, angry, aggressive and working for the best interest of buyers/sellers, not ebay.

Uh, Rob, name names please. And their good works in the interests of buyers/sellers. Smile
Yes I too would like to know which one's didn't crumble
after being wooed and waad
(if those are words) by ebay's reception team. ROB  Wave

I too have sat in BIG corporate meetings and flew in with
a team of 4-5 personnel full of stats and presentations to SHOW
MY company where they were WRONG and what to do to turn it all around.

When the team arrives it's usually off to the hotel first that usually cost
more a night than most people pay in a month for rent.

Then it's off to the  departments with a guided tour
full of impressive bull shit double speak along the way.

Then maybe a mid afternoon preliminary "let's get to know each other"
meeting or simply being shuffled to each department heads
area for a quick look and nod at the "oh so famous ones" who run the show.

Now it's back to the Hilton or Marriot with conversations of awe between
the members on the way and a new higher since of self worth
and since of importance for most the team is beginning to set in.

Then it's off to a fun filled night of winning and dining
with mid brass corporate puppets, who's real intention is to get you
to spill the beans of your intentions in the morning meetings
all the while trying to steer your thinking to one that most matches the
corporate double speak.  Smileykoolaid

By the next mornings full blown meetings 3 of the 5 in the team have already
jumped ship and are now sucking up to the brass and the mid brass that paid
all their expenses the night before. (Now you feel you OWE them something).  Thumbsup

The two remaining sted fasts are found now surrounded by
3 arrogant idiots with a look of cooperate glee in their eyes and the
corporate brass... who no matter WHAT is staring them in the face...
will continue on that heading right into the ice burg.

Now it's back on that jet and back to you personal life.
The two sted fasts are reflecting on the flight home,
scratching their heads and saying to them selves. "What just happened here"...

Been there done that mid to late 80's. The airline company I speak of...is no more.
