Hi there.

I'm currently using webex for web seminar hosting - teaching of different courses using video conferencing, presentation pushing, desktop sharing, etc.

Being the open source lover that I am, I started looking to see if a similar technology was out there in the open source community.  However, all I really see is "project management" type technologies, like what sourceforge is built upon - which don't allow interactive application sharing, desktop sharing, pushing of presentations that have embedded audio, etc.

I love tuliptools, because there's all kinds of people from all parts of ecommerce on here.  Anyone here cross this bridge before?

Try http://opensourcecms.com/ .  They have demos of 5 e-learning scripts but none are as advanced as WebEx:

ATutor
Dokeos
Interact
Moodle
Site@School

Hot scripts has a few too

Thanks . . . I currently use moodle, and have checked most of the LCMS.  It's the videoconferencing that really makes it, which I can find up to 5 users in a open source solution, but not higher amounts of users.  However, for anyone looking for just online courses or interactions, moodle is a great solution, with a great templating system.  The others I had fiddled with, before I chose moodle about 2 years ago.  So, what I'm doing right now is moodle for daily assignments and such, and webex for bigger meetings, conferences, seminars etc.
