Simple question: do you need footer text for good SEO? Or doesn't it really matter?
I don't really think it matters, cranky...

After all, a lot of footer text is redundant from links found elsewhere on the page.

BUT... I don't think it would HURT, either!  Big Grin

Logical links structure for your visitors should be the rule of thumb... unless we're talking about tattoos on one's feet?  8)

(Ok... that was corny... I haven't had enough coffee yet, OK?)

It might have been corny but it made me  Happy001.

I knew you would know the answer to this one, FG. Thanks!  Love10
I'd avoid going overboard on footer text like http://auctionfire.com/ because it will make your store look like shit, Smile

:blinkie:

EWWWWW. That really does look like crap.  Tard
It looks like crap but they are ranked #3 on Google for 'auctions'

I personally don't think  footer text matters.  Search engines look at the keywords/content on a page but it doesn't matter where that content is on the page.
