I have been looking for a simple program that detects the color/hex values in images etc.. I normally use Photoshop to do this, but, it is a PITA to use for this particular function.
In this article, they recommend a program titled "Color Detector". I downloaded it and started playing with it. Wow.

What does it do? It will give you the color # for anything that your mouse lands on, be it an image file, a website, etc.. Below is a screenshot of it in action on the TT home page.
